.. I'm scared of Applejack now cause of this...

Like I always say.. People normally understand if they watch one episode of it. When they don't, well.. I think you know where I'm going at.
I understand the premise, i do not get how people are in love with it

I don't have anything against the show it's just that I don't care about it. I doubt Top killa gives a rat's ass either.
But why throw statements like "it's just a fad" when you obviously haven't got a clue, and don't care?

You are just throwing empty words.

The dissenters among us (Top killa, Cactus216 in particular) are more than welcome to bring your arguments against the show or the fanbase to the official thread. However, be prepared to bring real arguments, not the fluff you throw around in the odd outlier thread like this.

You'll feel better to get it all off your chest.

Yeah, we don't bite or anything. For the most part. :mage:

Yes I care to tell people that I don't care so they will believe its just a TV show(Like it is). You people take MLP way to seriously. At the end of the day that's all it is, a TV show.

Seriously.. I'm starting to think you've failed English Class in school.. Would you kindly rephrase that correctly so others can understand? From what it sounds like, you are saying you own my opinion..

He wasn't suggesting you needed to share his opinion. He was expressing why we like it. We think it's awesome.

Ah, see, that's called an opinion. If you didn't care you wouldn't have one. You seem to take fault in the fact that we like the show to the extent that we do. I then ask you, what is wrong with being passionate? We aren't hurting anyone, and as a community we're actually helping quite a bit through self-expression and charity. Our passion is only doing good things.

Who said it was anything more than that? Our fandom is no different than others, we make art, songs, fics, and the like. What makes us take it "way to seriously"?

Meh, whenever it is pulled off the air its popularity will drop really fast. But question is when will they take it off? I imagine that the targeted audience (5 year old girls) has been roughly the same for the past 20 years, so it may depend on how many bronies watch it.

At the rate it is going, I do not think the show will be pulled off the air.. At least not for a LONG time.

It's overall their second most successful show after Transformers, and the season 2 finale pulled in the highest ratings of any of their shows to date. They also surely realize that, while kids will be content with reruns, advlts will not buy anywhere near as much merchandise once the show is cancelled. I hope they'll keep it on for several more years, but put it out of its misery before it becomes stale like many shows today. Fan animators can take over from there. There are a couple episode-length studio-quality productions in the works.

I hope it sticks around for a few more years. I feel kind of ashamed that I've only gotten into it once Season 2 was done. I'm going to be moving out on my own at some point and I'll either be going military or post secondary or both, and I'm going to need something to pull through those years, and I'm hoping FiM will be there to satisfy my heart.

I don't think it'll drop "fast", but all good things must come to an end. I think even once it's finished, the fandom can keep continuing for a few years without the show.

Personally, I believe MLP-FiM will become one of the most famous cartoons ever.. Specially with the current rate.. I wouldn't be surprise we'll be on the 10th Season eight years from now... And I wouldn't mind how long it last.. Actually, I think the show is too great to be destroyed by its own creators easily.

It's a quality cartoon put on the air in a time where there wasn't much good quality cartoons. Would you be ragging on people if they liked Pokemon and had pokemon avatars? I see several TES avatars, don't see anyone getting upset about them either.

Only reason anyone will argue the show is bad without putting up a decent arguement is because they fear for their masculinity, are in the closet or want to be with the 'cool kids' that hate for the sake of hating. As a guy wanting to get into animation some day, I will sit and watch any cartoon I consider good, and if you got a problem with it then that's your issue, not mine pal.
