Ponies?

Personally, I believe MLP-FiM will become one of the most famous cartoons ever.. Specially with the current rate.. I wouldn't be surprise we'll be on the 10th Season eight years from now... And I wouldn't mind how long it last.. Actually, I think the show is too great to be destroyed by its own creators easily.
Ten seasons is pushing it. They'll run out of meaningful content by then. It's the pitfall of shows with actual conflict and character development. Eventually you take things as far as they can go, and anything else is stale. Maybe it would have ten seasons of life in it if it were a gag-a-day cartoon, but not as it currently is without a severe drop in quality.

I have faith they can keep it strong up through season 5, as long as they prove they're capable of remaining consistent in season 3 despite the loss of story editor Rob Renzetti and writer Amy Keating Rogers. Meghan McCarthy's great, I have very high hopes for her.

I just hope that however it goes, it doesn't end up like the Simpsons, and fade into irrelevance. I just hope the voice actors all live to make it to the end.

Are you sure about that? We have plenty of cartoons that past 10 seasons and I personally still like them so.. Eh.. I just can see this show reaching 10 seasons, if you ask me.

I could see it going up to anywhere between 7-10. I think it's an almost certainty that it'll make it to 6 seasons though.

Oh yeah. I agree with this. I'm just hoping for the best that this show sticks around for the longest time..

A show can only run for so long until the writers run out of ideas, and it becomes stale and the quality drops.

6 seasons would be great in my opinion, and I'm confident they'll be able to pull that off.

Also one of the largest cult followings (no offense) ever.

The bronies are more than a cult following. Honestly MLP is not a cult following because it is very mainstream (meaning popular with everyone. If it wasn't mainstream then I would agree with you.

There. Yes it says that some films that were main stream were considered cult classics, but MLP is definitely not going to be one of those.
