Nope. They've had up for a while that everyone switches over early march. You'll get used to it. Only thing I wish is that they kept the ability to "play videos on channel".

Out of the four choices, the blogger layout is good, but the old one was better. And yeah, I'll get used to it, but this new one lacks so much customization that the previous channels had.

That's the main problem I have, you can't really customize it at all.

In the old layout you could change the colors, font, transparency, and move the different sections around. Now all the channels look generic and boring.

Same here. I don't care if it sounds lazy, but I really hate having to load a new tab for every single video I want to watch.

This as well. Goodbye multicolored (and dark) color schemes, hello bland, flavorless bright gray borders and backgrounds. There had better be customization options added in the future, because this "update" bites.

every thing in general is meh, but has all the stuff that i use just in different and unfamiliar places.

the only thing that changed that i hate is how it has become a chore just to send some one a message and and them as contacts.

Doubt it. YouTube never fixes something without breaking something else.

I actually like most of the new layout better. The playlists and activity log are improved, and the main page is more organized.

I'm annoyed, but I won't complain. Just like with Facebook, I'll forget what it used to be like in a few weeks.

I've disliked every new layout YouTube's done for years. But like Lobotomite, in a few weeks I learn to live with it.

I find it more annoying to deal with playlists, but maybe I'm doing it wrong.

Users - "Hey guys, we're finally understanding the layout you gave us a few months ago."

Youtube - "CHANGE IT NOW!"

I find the new channel layout, much better for watching YouTube like television.

Just use the little plus icon on the thumbnail to add things to "Watch Later", its the easiest way.

Do you work for Youtube or something? How would you know such truthful facts?

I meant as the channel owner. :)
On the one hand, I suppose it's easier in some way with the changes, but on the other hand, I'm an old fart and I find all the extra clicking and menus to arrange & alter one's playlists annoying. Too many steps.

YouTube never had good channel layouts, we just got used to them. Then they release another one which we hate, and afterwards begin to get used to.. And BAM a new layout again and the process repeats..

I hate it. It seems every new channel redesign gradually gets crappier and crappier.

This piece of crap is the worst [censored] idea of a layout I have ever seen in my entire life. I know kids in [censored] middle school that can come up with better crap than this, and that is not an exaggeration.

The old layout was perfect. It had no problems at all. The channel information was to the left, the videos in the center with excellent options that allowed both, the users, and uploaders to easily find what they wanted, and the comments were directly below that. Even if someone had a problem with this layout, they could easily swap it around to suit their needs.

Now? I can't find a [censored] thing. Youtube, let me ask you a question. What is the [censored] thought process on these so-called updates, huh? Do your employes just get bored and decide to draw these abominations out? Stop changing the [censored] layout for no reason. Stop making your website harder to navigate, and for [censored]s sake, stop forcing it on your followers.

As it stands, I hardly watch anything my subscribers put out now, ever since they destroyed the home-page layout. It's impossible to follow episodes of uploaded videos in order from the home page, and now it just got that much harder to do it with this piece of moldy ass.

INDEED!

As a constant user of their service though, and somewhat of a provider to the money that Youtube makes off advertisemants (considering I upload videos with advertisemants myself- not so much anymore), I have a right to criticize when they do something stupid, whether the service is free or not.

It's kind of like when someone hands out samples at a food store. You don't have to eat them, and they are free, but if they taste like ass than it's better to give the person your honest opinion on that piece of ass instead of letting them continue to sell ass.

Is anyone else having trouble with uploading videos? Whenever I click upload and select my video, the screen does not change at all.

I am guessing it is a problem in a script or something, but I have no idea what can be causing it.
