They have .44 Desert Eagles, and I believe the Eagles in previous fallouts were in that caliber, so I'd rather have that than a 12.7mm, although 12.7mm would totally work, I just see that we already have a 12.7mm autopistol, but then again I do like variety.

It would sort of be a joke weapon anyway, considering how overused the eagle is in games, movies, and media in general today.

There should be a base version in .44, and then a gold tigerstriped version in 12.7mm with some sort of funny name.

I've wanted this gun in the game since they announced it, so hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on it and do some [Head Hunting].

Switch the spreads on the .44 and .50, drop the weight on the .44 by .5 and the STR req. should be increased by 1 for the .50. As far as names are concerned, have you considered Mountain Hawk? Granted, I don't know why anyone would want a DEagle when they could have a rifle that fires http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.950_JDJ... but to each their own.

The .50 DE is a touch lighter than the .44 DE and that's mainly because the .50 has less metal in the barrel assembly. Keeping them even would play to realism...

As well the .50 AE is more functional and more accurate than the .44 and .357 through the Desert Eagle. Why? I don't know, but all the research I've done over the past couple years for the gun indicates that the .50 AE fired out of the DE is generally more accurate than the .44 Magnum.

As far as rifles go I'm pretty satisfied with the selection already in game, "This Machine", "gobi campaign", and the "Anti-material rifle" all satisfy me pretty well. Though with the latest patch it seems I can't hit jack with "This Machine".

The STR requirement for the .50 DE should remain at 6, even though the 12.7MM is 7. I base this off of the Hunting Revolver and Ranger Sequoia, which both fire .45-75 ammo which is a rifle round, and they weigh .5 less than the Desert Eagle. By that the DE should be 6 strength.

My Remington 870 has a longer effective range and tighter spread then a Hunting Shotgun despite only having a 20" barrel. My pocket knife doesn't weigh as much as my Ka-Bar but the switchblade and combat knife weigh the same. Game mechanics trump reality. Your .50 already has a higher health, significantly smaller spread and probably faster rof then the 12.7mm. The only reason to use the 12.7 would be for the suppressor and even that is redundant if you have a 10mm with mods (it usually outperforms the 12.7 when I use it). If they rebalanced the assorted pistols then I'd welcome a D.Eagle. I probably wouldn't use it much, given that a 1911 would be my CCW of choice, but more power to those that want it. And as far as rifles are concerned, I only left that link because I thought a half-pound bullet was absurd and a hundred pound rifle even more so. I wanted to share.

I think most people would agree that the 12.7MM pistol needs rebalanced, it's only got 4 damage more than the .44 Magnum and the .44 Magnum trumps it through perks. Plus the .50 would be the unique version, with the .44 Magnum being standard.

I would suggest the 12.7MM pistol to be the low tier, holding a higher RoF and higher mag count.

Now that I think about it the 12.7mm pistol is pretty underpowered. Even the 12.7mm submachingun varient is only a few points weaker and that's fully automatic with 3 times the rounds.

i have found the 12.7mm smg to be very powerful @ 333dps (with my perks). i feel like i'm cheating when i use it with the silencer. :ninja:

It's pretty devastating. 12.7mm SMG >>>>>>> 12.7mm Pistol
