BULL CRAP on the DLC!

Post » Fri Dec 24, 2010 6:26 am

Thats pretty weak if you are having no trouble at level 13.

I keep getting a bad feeling about HH. Its saying too, short too easy.

Like The Pitt................. I hope I m wrong.

Well it's not that having no trouble but I just don't die that much playing new Vegas, dead money I did though lol, I just think it is worth it I mean 1911 and Tommy guns are deffenitly worth it lol, it's deffenitly worth I for the perks as well, the Pitt was easy bu I still thought it was worth it, just try it at a lower lvl and see what u think deffenitly do it befor dead money, plus I'm only playing hard on hardcoe not the hardest deiffuclty. In my opinion it's deffinetly worth it, but to me $10 is as much as buying a burger an some fries lol so.....

Tell me another game that requires you to back up with an earlier game save in order to play DLC??? One that if you beat the game you can't EVER use DLC without losing progress that you made in the game

Tons of RPGs do this, I think most Final Fantasy games give you a final save point so that you can't save during the final mission and thus can't screw yourself. However in New Vegas you are in charge of your saves, you can save anywhere at almost anytime and this has benefits as well as risks.

Any game that has an ending that involves a large impact on your world will likely not allow you to continue after the final boss.

Dude, come on.

Half the fun of this game is restarting and taking anew path.

Saying that you don't want to start again is almost like saying "I don't want to get everything I could have out of this game."

It's too bad Obsidian didn't force a save right before you clicked yes. I think a majority of these threads wouldn't have occurred if they had just made New Vegas make an extra save.

Right. Fallout 3 made an autosave just before the last chance to make changes to your character. Obsidian could've made the game make an autosave before accpeting the final mission.

Really........... Even I have made a few characters, and I hate multiple endings. 4 endings= 0 real endings.

OP Bethesda did not make fo nv Obsidian did. As others have said the giant pop up that says "point of no return" in it should have been more that a hint. What are you doing with only 2 saves so close together in a game you say yourself is full of bugs and glitches?

I m sorry I just don t feel bad for you op.

Again with this? look RPG does have Multiple endings, whats the point of playing it just for having one MISERABLE ending?,

I play other genres for that, but for RPG, give me 3 or 6 endings at least

]Finished Fallout Vegas... (took a while with the buggy release)

Have two game saves... Hover Dam (starting final mission) and Legates Camp (end of final mission)

Because i am in the final mission, i am guessing, i can not fast travel anywhere... Therefore unable to got to the Happy Trails Expedition location to use the DLC Honest Hearts!
I finished the last mission again hoping that the game would continue (like the broken steel DLC from Fallout 3... NOPE

I am not willing to start over again from scratch to play the new DLC i paid for, my loss of $9.00, but that's it Bethesda, not a penny more from me.

Bought all the DLC for Fallout 3 and all of the DLC, so far, for New Vegas. My loss because it is one of my favorite game titles, but my experience with this game (all the problems) and
now the fact that i cant play with my original character that i used to beat the game pisses me off.

Bring out a broken steel fix for New Vegas!!!

You were warned before begininning the battle for hoover dam that you wouldn't be able to do any other quests or fast travel, it literally comes up in a big window in the center of the screen, so you make a save before the mission and then do the mission, see the ending, and go back to playing after reloading the save. You were warned, it's your fault. Not to mention that everyone was told on the forums that there would be no broken steel like dlc for new vegas, the game ends after the battle for hoover dam, so stop complaining, sweep up the pieces and start a new game since it's your fault you're stuck there. This is like getting mad that you deleted your savegame or saved over your lvl 30 with a new character, it's your fault not obsidion's or bethesda's.

Not gonna happen.

http://www.1up.com/news/fallout-new-vegas-definitive-ending

http://www.destructoid.com/fallout-new-vegas-has-a-definitive-end-181927.phtml

That's why they made sure to add that big popup that paused the game and told you to make a save just before passing the "point of no return."

Though I and a couple of others continue to maintain it should have been fullscreen, flashing red text, and had a timer that wouldn't let you click past it and continue for at least 30 seconds. :D

you forgot to add a follow up pop up x3 that says "are you sure"
"are you really sure"
"are you really really sure" ok you asked for it.

I really hope you do not give up on RPGs. I hope the responses to your original post don't get you down too much. This topic has gone through the ringer too often when it was made clear from Obsidian that they were not going to have a Broken Steel style ending. Also writing a negative post will bring you negative (sometimes outright hostile) responses. I would rather come to the forums with something constructive. This is supposed to be a place to exchange ideas about Fallout, not to bash the game, the developers, and especially not the other people visiting the site.

They won't do a Broken Steel Type DLC for New Vegas. There are too many variables to deal with.

Actually there is a point that you can get to (if played right) where you can make a save and go either way. I have a save that I can either go legion, or house or NCR or even yesman. Just have to be careful who you kill and what quest you do and for whom.

........ it tells u b4 u start the hoover dam battle that u r literally ending your game when u click "Im ready" start a new character, nxt time have a save file.......

Yeah that's true. I read the message when I came to the ending and i made two saves. One during the final mission in case i died. and the other so i could continue with that character

I learned a long time ago that saves are your friends and never to be shy about using a lot of them. I get more frustrated with games that don't allow you to save freely or to have multiple saves (Borderlands cones to mind). The great number of Fallout saves allow me to always keep a save position before that last chance to change your character's preferences. Allows me to skip the long, drawn out opening and get right to exploring.

new player on the DLC!

Stop [censored]ing, it's your own damn fault for not having enough saves or doing any research on what you were buying, or for that matter playing. It was stated before the game came out and multiple times since that there would be no continuation.

you probably would have more fun replaying it finding new things that you migth have missed the first time doing a diferent option tree finding that unique wepon you missed besides HH plays real well at low lvs and you will have some really nice new toy to play in the main game till the new DLC comes out
