EA Support: As of now its not and I don't have an tentative date for you when the Patch will be released; so that Crysis 2 will make use of DX11.

EA support seems to think it's coming but I put them through the wringer to get it out their stupid little heads

First of all, you say there is not piece of DX11 in any crysis 2 game. Now i guess the DX11 dll and package was just put there to fill up the DVD space? You have not the slightest clue of what EA and Cytek have done to us. Don't believe a word they say. Then you say DX11 is not yet finished, let me remind you that Dirt 2 was full DX11 and was released in 2009. So DX itself is finished, just not compatible on the damn consoles, which are holding it back.

DX11 has textures, particles, and effects for EVERY INDIVIDUAL GAME. When DiRT 2 was released, its DX11 was done because of the textures and particles the devs managed to finish on time. DX11 ITSELF is finished, this is a no **** brainer, I suggest you were thinking that I was saying "DX11 as a whole isn't finished." Learn to read, in context, what I actually said was that Crysis 2's DX11 version is not finished yet. The textures, the lightings, the everything is not done. And if the DX11 was "silently removed" then I doubt we'd see the DX11.dll. If anything, I have in game pictures uploaded on steam with before-patch and after-patch screen shots. They all look the same Exact THING.

And plus, even IF (notice I said, IF), there was a piece of DX11 put in, it would be retarded to leave in partial DX11 the whole time. It's safer and BETTER for the actual game (to work efficiently) to have partial DX11 taken out and for full DX11 to be put in its place. On this thread, is basically a conspiracy and a FALSE one about Crytek. They aren't idiots. They still care about PC BUT, this is the first time they went multiplatform with a major MAJOR game. It's a learnign experience to them and 360 and PS3 have problems they have to address on top of PC issues. FYI, xbox 360 has 76,000 people ONLINE........76,000 people. There are arcade games with more gamers on it. This says A LOT. If Crytek wanted attention to the consoles, then xbox 360 should have A **** LOAD MORE OF PEOPLE and the PS3 version shouldn't be "shafted."

Consoles will never handle DX11, Crytek knows it, they've always known it. Consoles are at a DX9 standard. Seriously you idiots need to learn how CryEngine 3 works and know that EA controls the release date. EA gave them a release date k? Now Crytek did to make crysis 2 was they made it ground up on CryEngine 3. But on this engine, EVERYTHING is ground up on EVERY platform, AUTOMATICALLY. They built the game so that consoles and PC can run it.....in order to do this they built it in DX9 and made sure to have the consoles in mind (this explains press start to enter). When finished, the PC version is then given the features that make it a PC game (like getting the developer console). Only issue is EA gave a release date that Crytek couldn't work with very well. They had to release the game and now they have DX11, graphical customization through menus (not dev. console), and sandbox editor 3 to release in patches because they couldn't meet the deadline. It's like you're in a school and you have a project do, and you turn it in, but over the next few days before your teacher grades your work, you glue on some extra pieces that were missing in the project.

NOW, stop having ignorance. You make the PC community look very bad.

^ This.

Thanks for proving all PC gamers aren't knee jerk 14 year old rage quiters.

I dunno about u but i have played this on 360 as i own both 360 and pc and i can tell u this game looks **** better on pc than it does on xbox... its a pc game not a 360 game. and u guys should be amazed at the visuals of the game do u all forget it is running in dx9? i dont think wev even seen a dx10 or dx11 game that looks this good? seriously???? let crytek add dx11 support later when theyre ready. and im sure the bugs will get fixed. they are making a big leap in developing for 3 entirely different platforms and in doing so yes they have been rushed by EA and yes there is bound to be problems. i would like to see all u kids that are whinging make a game that looks this good?

have some patience and enjoy what has been released. perservere with the problems until they get fixed and support an amazing company on thier first venture into the multiplatform world of gaming. Crytek needs support! not a bunch of whinging idiots!

Interesting. The GTX590 clearly emphasises tesselation with a supporting Crysis 2 picture.
