Yes you should. Fantasy humanoids should jump higher than irl humans.

Why? Oh, and simply saying "because it's fantasy" is circular reasoning.

And if a guy who is 1.81 meters high can jump 2.40 meters high over a stick, why shouldn't a beasty cat be able to jump higher?

If you were paying attention to what I said in my post, then you'd realize I wasn't arguing against this. I think Khajiit should be able to jump higher than other races. It should be one of their racial abilities, because their joint structure is different from a man or mer's.

EDIT: Correction; should be different.

Because TES humans need not be identical in every physical respect to real life humans.

But they already are, physically. If you want to give humans reverse joints or something... well, I don't support that idea, either, really.

So why not? realism? don't play a fantasy game if you want something realistic.
I think they should, because you know what, they aren't human. They are Men-, Mere- and Beastraces. Not human, they are humanoids, but not human.

Saying that I want something 100% realistic in a fantasy game is absurd, and no one is making that argument. However, the rules of a fantasy world should be grounded firmly in the rules of reality, excepting fantasy and RPG elements such as magic and hit points.

You're arguing semantics.

Sorry dude, but acrobatics was horrible. It made you level up, uncontrollably. IMO, it was the worst thing about Oblivion.

Uhm, did you ever try putting it in your minor skills? Just saying :whistling:

So your argument is physical realism, and mine is physical fantasy. That sums it up.
And people do get better at these things by practice. But you say it shouldn't in Skyrim because of gravity or whatever.

Does the physicality not improve in the land of Skyrim?

(sorry for some bad spell if there are some, wasn't shure of some spelling)

How about "muscles work better in TES"? Detailed reason? The gods made people and they made muscles such and such strength. That seems at least as realistic as a desert on the edge of a landmass being at a higher latitude than a temperate forest.

Fair enough. But if you're going to do that, than the entire concept of architecture has to be changed in Skyrim. Those 20 foot walls around Whiterun? The Jarl might want to raise them... quite a bit. As per what you're suggesting, people could just jump right over them.
