Skyrim on Next gens

i still have my original xbox and gamecube. i play morrowind on the xbox. i play eternal darkness on my cube. i'm not sure about what you are saying my argument is missing.

plus, it's based on a possible future of rules and regulations.

Ok, well I am confused. If you keep all your old consoles anyway, why would lack of backward compatibility be such a deal-breaker for you?

Yes, it seems that "new" games released after the 1.1, 1.2, etc. hardware upgrades are released would simply need settings options that would allow them to run optimally depending on which version of the hardware each end user has. The games could run players through a mandatory setup when the game is first played, in which the proper settings would be identified and selected. That way no one is "locked out" of being a ble to play the latest games, but those with the hardware upgrades would be able to play them using graphical settings and other features that don't continually lag behind the latest pc capabilities.

exactly, best of both worlds, but again, possible hell for developers,

this also might not solve the so called issue of PC games being held back cause of consoles. cause games would have to be able to run on a consoles min requirements and specs

LOVE that game!

Anyone else think that Eternal Darkness had an influence on Skyrim? The way you combine words to make Dragon Shouts is very similar to Eternal Darkness' magic system. The dungeon puzzles are very similar too.

puzzles? are you serious?
there is NO FREAKIN way that gamesas took the greatness of the puzzles in that game and applied it to skyrim. lol. that game blows skyrim away on many levels.

the 'magic' system in e.darkness was seriously sweet. in fact, it might have to be the next game i load up before i go to bed (previously morrowind)

eternal darkness was complex and difficult. you actually had to 'learn' the spells and different concoctions.

how long do i have to wait for eternal darkness 2??

and, not for the hallucination effects. though, that stuff was straight sweet when you first experienced it, lol.

yeah but there is no point, did they port Jack X racing or any other ps2 games? no. they won't do it for skyrim that will be 2-3 years old by the time it's released. no way it's being ported.
Never say never. Other games like OB and MW weren't ported because they came out when the generation was new.

They made crysis 1 available console so maybe they could use the PC version. I know it's not likely, but it's a thought.
