i can also confirm the steam preload is live.

5.854GB - ETA 32 Minutes.

Gad Damn it! Isn't steam suppose to be the first to pre-load than anybody else?? why the hell would i get from steam at a more expensive price then, if i don't get the priority download from the other supplier??

Not yet buck-o. preload means you get to download a big mess of encrypted files. you cant play the game until Steam unlocks the files at the time of release.

so you still have 2 more days of social life available.

I'm not getting a preload option from Steam yet. I did exit and restart client. Might be rolling out by region or batches just to prevent everybody from clicking start at the same time.

EDIT: Working now.

I've never been able to go past 1.8mb/s on steam even with 15mbps connection, is there something I can do to speed it up? Already have 20% downloaded so not a big deal.

You are getting exactly what you should be.

15mb/s is not 15MB/s

mb = mega bits

MB = mega bytes

there are 8 bits to one byte

8 * 1.875MB/s = 15mb/s
