Wait, so what happened when you've eventually assassinated every NPC in the game?

http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2011/11/skyrim-infinite-quests/ So do you think this is legit, or just a buit of marketing/PR.

edit: I'm mainly wondering if you guys think this will be actually be a interesting feature or do you think will just get loads of [censored] generic quests? I think i'd sought of prefer fewer more handcrafted quests which are really entertaining instead of loads of generic ones.

Probably legit, not necessarily a great thing. Since It'll probably really generic quests.

"Oh hey Dohvakiin I need you to collect from ". Yea... This isn't WoW. One thing Bethesda does brilliantly is extremely unique quests.

The reason for the radiant story is to help people see more of the world in areas they might not have been to and go to new dungeons.

So I get a letter saying "Go kill 5 spiders over there"? after 1 year of playing. Quantity over quality it seems.

This game feels like a really good burger restaurant. Skyrim is the nice grade A beef cooked to perfection with all the condiments for the main world, main quest, and main side quests. Then free bottomless fries for the generic quests. They may not be the best fries, but at least they're free and bottomless.

haha that's actually an pretty good way of looking at it, these generic quests will also make the guilds feel more real and constant.

I imagine it working more like this

Game gives you a quest, saying "Kill 5 rats in that dungeon".
Boring right.

What the game is really telling you is "Hey you, you haven't been over there, why don't you go and check it out?"

The rats are just a distraction

I knew this some time ago, personally.

I am actually waiting for people to use this as an excuse to bash the game again....like saying the other quests will be less entertaining or the game will be boring. Nothing like emo-ing every feature!

People have been saying for years when they join the fighters guild or Dark Brotherhood they play through all the quests and when they get to the end that is it and they wished new quests would keep coming in so when Bethesda implements a Radiant AI story suddenly they are shoveling "quantity over quality"?

You still get hours and hours of crafted quests by the devs at Bethesda, just like in prior ES games, they just went the extra mile to allow you to continue getting new quests outside of what they have done by hand and you poop on them for doing that.

:banghead:
How is it possible to have INFINITE quests. That would mean the game made it's own quests, witch is ridiculous.

Wow, really? Just read what it says right there; "Infinite quests". It can't possibly be quality quests.

For me, quality quests is when it involves new dialogue and perhaps a dungeon you've never visited, well you don't have infinite dungeons and you don't have infinite dialogue so wharrup.

Good news and bad news... Because most of the time, infinite quests = infinite blandness~ Hopefully it doesnt end up like in Fable 3 where 75% of the side quests were pretty much the same thing... :cryvaultboy:

Agreed. Fable 3 quests were so lame. It's funny how everyone and their neighbor had buried trinkets you had to go find.
