My impressions so far....

Do we know what the difficulty levels affect? It's just related to combat, right? Strength of enemies, etc? Sounds like playing on Master is fun, though.

Holy crap, i was attacking some people inside the inn and before i knew it , half of Riverwood was going at me. Kinda crazy, hope this doesn't mean guards will still hear everything in the big towns. Cause the folks came from outside, there's no way they could have heard me.

Yes, he said it feels "brutal" and the hits "connect" many times.

How are the NPCs? Ai? animations? voice acting? conversing? Do they seem believable?

THIS!

Seriously. The street date has been busted wide open and the consolers are enjoying it (as well as are many pirates I imagine). Yet those of us who ordered through Gamestop or Steam, and all PC players, are stuck waiting another 24 to 48 hours (more in some cases). It would be really awesome if someone from Bethesda would give the go ahead to unlock on Steam and let Gamestop give out their pre-orders. I know one of the employees at my local Gamestop and he's already told me they in-fact got their shipment today but can't give them out yet, and I already got my call from Gamestop's automated service telling me I can pick my copy up tomorrow at midnight.

Since the street date has been broken, why make the rest of us wait in torture?

Oh stop whining. Very, very few console players have the game, as far as I can tell it is just in some foreign countries that have gotten lucky. I too have to wait until Friday...like the vast majority of others who have preordered the game.

:swear: Of all freaking release date for other recent games, this one is a fail, we have people all over the place getting the game before 11.11.11... So in the meantime oh wait not to mention the damn pirates who have a torrent out there for xbox.. WOW..

So everyone else has to watch or read about people playing the game, instead of playing due to security issues and I dunno confusion on the release date....

If I was Bethesda, I would be pissed and looking towards my forums and reading threads like these of people playing the game and pirated copies out there and most people do not even have the game yet... LOL

Yet I get to read this thread days before the games release...

Anyone else see something wrong about this?

I dunno just release the game already it seems the 11.11.11 is busted in the xbox world... Oh I have seen PS3 footage out there as well for the ps3 as well..

:swear:

I hope I do not see any footage or hear or read anything that changes my mind from buying the game Friday....

I've noticed that some bandits only need a few hits and a big of flames on them for them to die, others proof much more of a challenge. Right now i keep being owned by three bandits, they really don't hold back.

The first dungeon was awesome, i encountered all kinds of enemies which i'm not gonna spoil here. Plenty of variety, loving that stuff. Just one dungeon and already more variety than any dungeon in Oblivion.

Yes, but they cast a rather low-res shadow, nothing to go completely mad about but it's not incredibly crisp, not that i mind this for a second.

Also, i love the third person now, it's not that i use it an awful lot, but it looks much better than ever before. Really great to just use when traveling. And i agree about the combat now, i've used the axe a few times and a dagger, and hits really do feel like hits, connecting is the right word for it yeah.
About the 3rd person... Can you lock in the zoom so you can run around with a over the shoulder view like they did in fallout? I don't know if this has been confirmed.. Thank you you lucky bastard haha

Fom what I heard Skyrim shares many problems with Oblivion, the physics are improved but still floaty. The zoomed in conversations are dry and emotionless. The animations are horrid(accept for the walking and running ones). Don't get me wrong, the game is lightyears better than previous ones, from what I've seen and the game in general is an EPIC experience full of fun things to do and places to explore. I just wanted to point out that the game has some flaws before one of you has an anticipation-triggered heart attack. :hubbahubba:

I haven't replied to any more comments because i had called it a day,it was time to sleep for me. Anway...

The NPC's look good, much more realistic and detailed than Oblivion, but that's also what i was expecting. I went to Riverwood and heard the old lady talking about dragons to her son, it was nice to see the full conversation on that. I saw Alvor working during the daytime and also evening, but at night he was inside his house. I haven't seen enough of the a.i. to really comment on it. Animations to me are fine, it's not light years above Oblivion, but it is alot better. Voice acting is fine, i haven't heard an annoying one,and IMO the voices really fit the characters so far.

Haven't had the chance to try it yet.

No giants on my path yet.

did you instal it on your 360 or are you just running it all of the disk?

Running it off the disc, and honestly i don't think installing is even nessecary. Loading times for going inside a house in a town/village is like what....2 to 3 seconds. Longest loading time so far has been 20 seconds, when i got out of the very first dungeon.

About the 3rd person... Can you lock in the zoom so you can run around with a over the shoulder view like they did in fallout? I don't know if this has been confirmed.. Thank you you lucky bastard haha

Yes, you can zoom in on your character very close and walk/run like tha.

Yeah i was wondering about the conversations. Didn't they say we would be able to walk around during the conversations? I can only look aruond with the camera.
