Which Playing Style Do You Exceed At Best?

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 10:32 pm

I like scouts. Guys with shortswords/daggers and are very nimble and quick. Although Bethesda completely destroyed any possibility of that(not to mention shortswords may be gone) my dreams have been crushed into Oblivion.(dual meaning)

Whether Mage, Warrior or Thief character I am always sneaky. I always take things slowly and try to ambush my enemies to get critical hits from sneak attacks. When things heat up though I go full on and use cover or try and run past. So I exceed with Thief/Assassin characters.

Im usually best at using the "press the attack button until u win route" which might hafta change in this game...but pressing the thumbsticks on my controller seem to get me from point A to point B.....but now im gonna hafta incorporate the X button aswell.....hmm this games getting complex.....guess i can always become a battlemage.....but i wish i could still use my old play style and stil win.....

An assassin mage, a enchanted short sword and or dagger that usually has damage health/drain health or damage fatigue, with mysticism (sad they removed it. >.< I still hope they keep soul trap somehow, for my soul eater people, soul keeper or necromancer) destruction, illusion, alteration, light armor, sneak, and pickpocket.

mostly a ranger type character. strong so i can carry a lot of loot, skilled with the bow, use a lot of stealth and alchemy to survive in the woods, and my preferred blade type is just a one handed sword. daggers to me are too puny (although i might give them a try with all the backstabbing stuff). I use a shield in melee combat also. rarely do i go into town, and when i do its to sell loot from exploration and drink a lot.

Quick question, what's the difference between a Spellsword and a Battlemage?

Anywho, I've always considered myself a battlemage. Heavy armor, longsword, and shield spell. Alteration ftw.

Sniper, sneak thief. I always make these types of characters. I like to gain money the easy way..(buy stealing it.) I like to see what's in peoples pockets and I enjoy getting into every chest and locked door. Sneaking and sniping (or shooting a bow.) Usually seems easier to me than charging in to fight something.

I was gonna be a stealth character, but after seeing the magic, I'm gonna be a battlemage.

Jack of All Trades. For me an end game character is not one that can kill any enemy, but handle any quest/situation efficiently.

That said I will have my first character be a Nordic, Lore-Centric Warrior. No Magic, Sword, Shield, Dragonshouts and pure ownage. I will not sneak nore cast restore health once if I can avoid it.

The way Skrim is built I'd like to do a playthrough of pure warrior, pure stealth, and pure magic before I do my jack of all trades character. The gameplay looks to be so much more enthralling than any elder scrolls game yet I look forward to actually enjoying playing the game, not just the role playing elements.

Battlemage. I mostly do hack & slash, but I like to finish off those enemies which I haven't already killed with some magic from distance.

I'm a summoner, through and through. While my undead tear you apart, I'm on the side-line hurling lightning bolts at ya.

On Oblivion/Morrowwind? A battlemage. But now we have the dual wielding thing, I loved being a dual wielding warrior in Dragon Age:Origins, so I'm thinking a dual wielding Nord initally, before the inevitable Altmer battlemage :P

Stealth opener followed by BIG melee and BIG close range magic. I usually go into battle prepared with item and restoration/alteration buffs and try to use some weakness spells but aslong as my melee and magic are dominating I go all out without any real strategy besides taking heads!

Well, after I've watched and read everything in the Berserk series/anime I really has fallen in love with huge swords and black armor. I never like the term warrior, so I've always used mercenary as my class in both morrowind and Oblivion. I also love a ranger kinda character after watching the lord of the rings films, hehe

Mystic, by far.

Imagine a Jedi Knight. Now, give him the powers to detect life and magic. Then, give him the power to teleport either to a marked location, or a targeted position within a short distance. Now, give him the power to evoke the Gods. Then, give this Jedi the ability to reflect physical damage (ie, a slash to hand slashes the same spot on the person doing the slashing, and leaved the slashed unharmed) and magical spells as well as the power to nullify magic entirely and trap the souls of his enemies. Now, let him loose in Tamriel.

In my opinion, I like to look at the schools of magic in a very scholarly way... I believe that Mages should be studying the arts of the arcane for most of their lives before they can even start to become fairly powerful. I don't believe that just anyone should be able to cast a restoration spell at will ... It should take dilligence and patience... I like the idea of Mages doubling as scholars and teachers, craving knowledge and passing on what they know...
Well, in Morrowind, you could just buy restoration training from some dude in a bar.

2 Handed weapon warrior is probably my favorite, but I can (and probably will) play everything.

How is everyone's plan holding up?
Mine is doing quite nicely...especially with my wolf familiar spell as well as my doggie companion.
Combine that with a great sword and my destruction perks and I'm good to go :tes:
