What should I do...

daedric, if ur dad doesnt pay the fine the govt puts ur ass in jail?

I'm guessing so. He can't pay for the fine himself and that is why he is looking for a job. And his step-dad is kinda pissed about paying the fine until he gets a job.

+everyone knows its just straigght atupid to waste taxpayer money on chasine pot heads in the streets and througgh the very expensive legal system

I think his father is giving him the $14 to pay for it. I don't think the government is making the father pay it cos the son can't.

Yeah pretty much. Well, he got locked up because he didn't pay the initial fine, which wasn't even posted to him. But everything else you got pretty much spot on.

Unfortunately it doesn't work that. The system will just view him as another drug-[censored] junkie and dismiss any case he puts forward.

Sorry to say this. If all you describe is true, leave your family. Find a friend at least who would take you in. Your family is the main reason you cannot find a job. No boss would hire a guy he cannot contact with or with a bad haircut. It tells how lousy you are and how unable you are to manage your life. You have a problem family, your stepdad just wants you gone, your mom is a slave to him. I may sound harsh but they are the root of your trouble to be honest.

This. You need to get out of this situation buddy. It's completely disgusting that they won't even help you out by paying for a haircut. Next time you do get some cash, I'd suggest investing in a set of clippers so you can at least cut your own hair. Then get yourself to an employment agency, even without a phone you can drop in every day and ask if they have anything for you. The fact that you are willing to make the effort to walk down every day might even impress them. Lastly, ask around relatives and see if any of them can take you in for a while, because sitting on your lonesome on the floor for most of the day is no way to live mate.

OP, assuming if ya haven't already tried, try to find the closest job agency ya can around the area, or a Mcdonalds. They offer temp jobs and it really better then nothing. Seeing as ya online, assuming ya reading this, there also site like Monster or indeed.com.

Also expect some drug tests; so clean up ya act. If desperate, try cutting ya own hair if have the guts to.

some big shot police was just talkin to the news here about marijuana and how the laws are getting tougher, to sum it up, he said as long a they arent causing gtrouble, pot heads dont gotta be scared of getting charges.
I think it was the fact he was on the street when he was caught that is the main problem, the same way you can't walk down the street drinking alcohol or smoke tabacco inside pubs/restruants anymore (In the UK at least).

EDIT: Thats daft I can't say ph-ag when I'm using it meaning cigerette
