You know from experience? Because there was one instance with me where I ask this girl out and it turns out she is going out with him... She wasn't lying right? I never got to ask her if she was sincerely telling the truth because school was in the way, my internet was down, work had me whenever I wasn't at school oh and there was that restraining order and her Marine corps. Father that could "Snap my neck like a twig."

Worst weekend ever!

I didn't know having a female friend was such a daunting thing. You all should sit me down and explain this tradegy.

Or better yet, since you throw away friendships because they want be with you, send them my way because I sure need some good friends.

That's not the point, its when you have romantic feelings for someone, and they only want a friendship out of it.

The "friend-zone" is when someone constantly strings you along, perfectly aware that you want to be more than friends, so they can take advantage of the fact that you'll do virtually anything for them in an attempt to win them over, but they have no actual interest in you romantically.

Most of these sound like the "if I'm friends with you for a long time I'm entitled to a romantic relationship with you"-zone.
