It is so unmanly to shave ones beard. Whose with me?

@Oof- My problem with pink has nothing to do with masculinity (mostly), it has to do with the simple fact that it's a revolting colour... I've seen either guys wear no pink or to much pink... It's just obnoxious to me. Then again, I'm boring.

I don't like pastels, so pink's out for me, too. Except neon pink. Neon pink's cool. :D I have a pair of neon pink and a pair of neon orange socks, which I sometimes wear when I go out clubbing. I prefer muted or dark colours, too, for the most part.

No Ivan was a great guy, he liked beards. It was Peter the Great who ordered that all Russian men should shave their beards, as part of his enforced cultural revolution to make Russia more European. Made no sense at all, if I lived in a place as cold as winter-time Moscow I'd sure as hell grow a massive beard.

It does seem to be a bit more unacceptable in Russia, even nowadays, to have facial hair, than it is in the West. I do wonder how they dealt with it during communism, though. I know women had to wait in line for stockings, let alone men for razor blades.

Shampoo is necessary though, just like you have to wash the rest of your hair. You do wash your hair, right...?
ONLY IN THE BLOOD OF ANIMALS!

HEY, a fine beard needs fine care. And besides, I usually let my beard grow wild with no trimming whatsoever (except in that odd hair that always grows into my mouth, that one always has to go) so even if I do take care of it it still looks manly.
It's just the juxtaposition of talking as a manly man and then going on about proper beard care and how conditioning your beard is important cracks me up.

So as the title may imply, I was recently forced to shave my beard because of job search shenanigans and I have to say it is the most unmanly feeling ever to no longer have my beard. I most certainly believe I look like a woman now.

So who else is with me on this? I'm sure there must be some other manly man men here who agree.

I misunderstood what you said, I agree. I will not work a job that compromises my beard. I mean, [censored], it's a show of patriotism to emulate a Presidential facerug is it not? Therefore me shaving my beard would be un-American and possibly even an act of treason.

A lot of men either need to get beards, or learn how to shave properly. But yeah, go beards and all that.
