It is so unmanly to shave ones beard. Whose with me?

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 9:55 am

So as the title may imply, I was recently forced to shave my beard because of job search shenanigans and I have to say it is the most unmanly feeling ever to no longer have my beard. I most certainly believe I look like a woman now.

So who else is with me on this? I'm sure there must be some other manly man men here who agree. :D

I think the Amish may be on board with you.

I hate shaving. I hate not shaving becuase I look scruffy. But damnit I get a rash or something from shaving. It looks terrible either way.

Bloody ninjas.

I feel a bit naked when I first shave, but I've never had the full beard. It's too itchy...

Just gotta take care of it is all. Shampoo, conditioner, etc.

And of course theres always the initial itchiness if you've never had one before but that goes away.

AR 670-1 says I can't have one and I am not SF clearly so I can't get away with it.

No I don' find it unmanly either.

I haven't shaved in a month...but my beard is still quite pathetic. My father couldn't grow a serious beard for his life, so I have little hope that I will ever be able to myself. I'm shaving tonight. I agree, it's unmanly, but some of us have to.

What are you doing poncing about on some forum when THERE'S HUNTIN' AND KILLIN' TO BE DONE!

Log off you woman and go bed some wenches and quaff some ale. Be sure to break somebody's jaw cause they 'looked at you funny'. FIGHT THINGS AND PISS IN BUSHES!

Being a manly man is fun.

Had to shave to become a manager at a measly fast food joint.

I honestly almost quit, but I really need the money. My girlfriend said she was sad to see it go, but she's been much more "affectionate" since I shaved. Turned out pretty well ;)

Food like ketchup, or mustard, or mayonaise, or melted cheese, or anything of that sort hanging on for dear life on your beard while eating?

No thanks, I'll shave.

I was only ever able to grow hair on my lip and chin, but this summer I started to get neck hair and stubble on my cheeks. It's been growing in faster now. It's an inconvenience more than anything. I don't feel any manlier, just more annoyed.

I cycle between these two, with the extremely rare clean shaved look, for no reason.

So by TeeHee's definition half the time I'm hawt. :disco: <-- which was so long ago it's now a historical era..

But they're always full of surprises! You never know what you might find - yesterday's breakfast, last night's dinner, it's a veritable bonanza.
