You can not re-roll your character....

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 6:11 pm

It is disappointing to have to go through the tutorial for each character I make. I make a lot of characters, and Oblivion's reset option at the end of the tutorial made it much easier. Having to go through the tutorial for each character is going to get tedious.
As much as I like Patrick Stewart, Oblivion's tutorial did get old and I always had a save made at the end of the Tutorial to save me an hours time of boredom.

I'll say again, I think the reason for no CC at the end of the tutorial is that during the tutorial there are two paths to take, (as in who do you follow out of town). Since who you choose could make a difference during the MQ I can see why Bethesda would not want a new save and CC past that point. Also your race chosen might make a difference in some of the beginning and tutorial.

The same, I'm planning on playing a 1/2 dozen characters alternating between them. As for the faction choice I could have made 2 end tutorial saves.

The lighting in the Oblivion CC screen svcked, so I expect they did a better job this time.

I agree, but FO3's was much worse; you could only see half of your character's face.

A bit surprising, but not a huge problem. I suspect one of the following reasons:

1) You gained skill levels during the tutorial.
2) It gives them problems if you change your race, since during the intro, it plays a part on the NPC dialog.

Aesthetics matter more to me than most things do, but I've never really made use of it in Oblivion. I usually spend a lot of time on character creation (upwards of two hours the first couple times,) and there isn't really much for me to change. I think it'll be fine.

Fallout 3's was pretty bad, should've been like New Vegas where the lighting was more acceptable.

I also kept a save before leaving the tutorial for new characters until I got a mod that let you skip it. What if we just want to tweak something with the face?

Its out in daylight now, from the videos I have seen it looks much better than the Oblivion one.

umm why does it matter? all you do in character creation is make your character this time so theres not much room to screw up...

Just spend more time fine tuning until your happy with the results

The CC has better lighting from what I've seen.

The main problem remains doing the same intro dungeon over and over again. Also I hope you're not forced to take sides so early on, though I'm really wondering why Bethesda decided to place that choice so early in the tutorial...

I don't think you really choose sides then. There's an achievement for when you do, and...um...we didn't see that pop up.

Most likely Dovahkiin just ran to the first person who screamed, "FOLLOW ME!"

Depends on how long the tutorial is

Whether you have to play it every time you play the game.

This might impact my dead is dead campaigns. .

I never did the dead-is-dead thing, to be honest. Like another poster long ago on the Oblivion section said, "I didn't spend hours carefully perfecting my character's look, only to delete him because he got smashed to death by a goblin's mace."
