Mega Millions Lottery

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 10:33 pm

The Mega millions? It is like 1 in 11,000,000+ to get the whole thing.

From what I've read it's closer to 1 in 175,000,000.

Playing the lotto and hoping to win is like trying to get that ultra rare drop from that boss in an MMO that has a 0.001% chance of dropping. You're better off doing...well...anything else. Like grinding the cooking skill.

Me and 21 other people split the price for 114 tickets, guess how much we won.

$2? That's how much my mom's work pool won off 57 tickets.

If I ever won the lottry the place you'll be hearing from me would be these forums or my YouTube account---so that aspect woun't change but I'll live in a nice open space where there's hardly ANY neighbors and it's nice and quiet ALL---THE---TIME.

The winning ticket from Maryland was bought at a store my girlfriend could've stopped at on her way to her friend's house last night. I told her to buy like 20 tickets, but no, she just buys one and not until she gets to her friend's house... LOL.

It doesn't really matter where you buy tickets. As far as I know, the system is automated from a central computer system, and numbers are generated upon purchase at random. It's not like each location has a queue of numbers it goes through in order.

The CA state lottery (not MegaMillions) used to be about 1 in 11 million way way back when. I don't know if that's changed now...they changed the rules quite a bit since it started.

The MegaMillions, that's what I heard too...about 178,000,000 total combos to try to hit them all or something. Spend nearly 200 million to make 650million...unless you have to split it three ways (I hear at least 3 ppl won)...then you come out about only a little ahead - unless you take the lump sum, then you're in the red.

I was actually hoping no one would win and it would get up to - *dramatic evil voice* - ONE BILLION dollars! ...imagine the media frenzy over that. lol

Well, three winners, and now the jackpot is back down to 12 million.

Depressing. :P

I'd still be pretty content with 12 million...or 8 million in a lump sum, or whatever. That'd still be one big par-tay. With 500+ million I'd probably give most of it away anyhoo. Maybe spread it around to some indie game companies + charities.

Winning Numbers:

2, 4, 23, 38, 46, MB 23
I would of had 1 for sure (2) and maybe another 2 if I coose them as my random numbers :)

How much is 1 number off that bulk load :P
