Honestly I don't mind most of the changes from morrowind to oblivion to syrim, games evolve.
The one thing that I truly hate and made me lose a little interest in the games is the simplification of armor. It absolutely irks me that it went from Helmet, L.Pauldron, R.Pauldron, necklace, Chest plate (and robe), Belt, L.Gauntlet, R.Gauntlet, L.Ring, R.Ring, Shield, Leggings, Boots. To just Helmet, Armor or Robe, Necklace, Gloves, Ring, Shield, and Boots. from 14 to just 7

.
I understand the attribute changes for simplicitys sake. But the armor changes really doesn't simplify enough to justify how much freedom and customization you could get. Not to mention how much more gear progression there was.
I miss so much being able to have two different types of pauldrons, It was so badass. Not to mention there were different looking pauldrons for the same set of gear, so you didn't have to gimp yourself with a lower tier piece of armor to look unique.
I mean if they really wanted to simplify armor they should have just added a paper doll so you could get a visual representation of each armor piece in its respective position. That would have simplified it ten times more, and been an improvement unlike reducing your freedom of choice.
