to all who have downloaded and installed this driver i have personally gone to the website several times and since i know one of the lead security designers working there i can surley tell u this driver is a fake meaning AMD have not made this driver if you or any1 have installed it i suggest u Diconect from the internett imediatly and delete all your credit card info bcause i have read trough the program code of this driver and it creates a back door to your computer alowing any1 to view and or abuse private content on your computer u wont get any virus alarm since this is a masked software program meaning it masks itself as a driver and activates when u are least expecting it too i honestly should rather have any1 who has installed this either revert back to a previous windos image or do a full format of your drives i hope ppl are reading this and to help us stop intrusions like this in the near future i have already reported the creator of this fake driver to officials withing AMD's sec personell i hope some and all are not negativley affected by this :brokencomputer:

a. the driver in ATI's official domain/site was put there by hackers
b. you know the "lead security designers" (there's a group of designers at the lead)
c. these security designers haven't taken this "fake driver" down after discovering it
d. you reversed engineered this 3D video graphics driver and "read through the program code" to discover it was malicious
e. internett has 2 t's in it
f. your keyboard has no period character on it

and finally...
g. the hackers also FIXED the technical issues that was plaguing many ATI video card owners?

Is anyone else having weird very bright light in wellspring that it sorta blinds you when u look to it? Is that a bug or is it meant to be like this?

Cat 11.10 V3 - will be released officially tomorrow (we wanted to do some Rage testing) - but I see that it's already out in the wild...

BattleField 3 - there will a CAP update later this week to resolve CrossFire issues - use in combination with the either V2 or V3 driver

Cat 11.10 V3 preview only includes additional Rage fixes from V2

Cat 11.10 official release will happen Oct 31 - but Catalyst 11.10 V3 is pretty much the identical driver, so use with BF3 (plus new CAP)

Fixed my issues with dual core and ATi 5670. Can even use high texture cache at the moment. No launch parameters nor configs. Excellent and finally!

Did nothing for me. I still have the mosaic tile graphics. Im losing interest in the game. I will still play it once it works ... just dont care much now haha.

Preview 3 Driver made the game worse.

I still have texture popping. If I set up cache size to bigger option it makes popping much less visible but I start lagging all the time while moving. And also game started crashing. After some time textures change to a plasticine variant and a minute later game just crashes.

Also, with v2 and v3 drivers some big areas have ugly textures. Dead City's distant buildings look like they are made from plasticine (a little better quality than what everything looks like before game crashes). The same is with interior. sigh

try the jobthreads 0 command with no cfg file... fixed my issues after the prev 3 driver was installed. now the game runs perfectly

ok no im not saying it was out there by hackers im saying the person who made this driver based of the same code as the preview 2 driver redirected theyr ip from 3 locations making it seem like it was posted by amd and to answer to question b yes i am in fact related to one of the lead preogrammers in amd the driver based section and he could confirm that thy were still working with a new driver and that id is working on something aswell

Seeing a lot of people having their issues fixed, i finally tried the full driver(not just the dll). I was disappointed with the same 1 FPS issue...but for some reason I disabled HyperThreading in my BIOS settings and...voila!! RAGE is now smooth as silk with 60FPS!! With the catalyst 11.9 i could play but FPS stayed below 50..but now its 60 constant! I think there is a problem with how RAGE interprets HyperThreaded Cores..

Driver fixed my problems. I was having to use the atioglxx.dll from the 11.6 Catalyst driver set, which had below ideal performance and lots of texture pop-in. Every driver from 11.9 through 11.10 preview 2 made the game an unplayable crashy slideshow. With this, I get an excellent framerate and pop-in is far less severe than with the 11.6 workaround (it's still there, but that's to be expected with this game, especially on a dual-core CPU).

Radeon HD5870 1GB
Core 2 Duo E6600
Windows 7 x64
6GB RAM

I was having performance problems in id Tech 4 games with drivers past 11.6 as well, I'll test those with these drivers later.
