Bethesda Should Do What Naughty Dog have done

I remember when the devs used to post on the forums on a regular basis, that was back in Morrowind and when the forums were on the elder scrolls website. It all went downhill with Oblivion.

But that game was broken from the start as well. As far as I know they started working on patch 1.2 right after the game was released and reports started happening. Im pretty sure dead island was out for 3 more weeks to a month before receiving that patch your referring too. But at least they (I think) tested it pretty well.

That's a shame really, all they had to do was keep that up. I mean nobody expects them to post on here all the time, just enough to let us all know they are there and that they care.

Edit: Especially now with the major issues alot of PS3 owners are experiencing

I think the patch was a little over 2 weeks after the release. They started working on it the second people started sending in reports. AND they addressed individual console issues, instead of lumping everything together.

Gstaff and Nick are TERRIBLE community managers. They rarely ever post.

All I gotta say is naughty dog is probably the best studio there is in terms of quality of games, apparent hapiness of employees, scope of games, ingenuity, presentation, and character. Oh and Stability of games.

I don't know, Epic Games has a giant slide in their main foyer. That just seems awesome to me. I get free soft-drinks when I go to work, damn I got the short-end of the stick.

Yeah actually the development team behind "Little Big Planet" is just like Naughty Dog: They care for their fans.
When they delayed LBP2, they did it to be fair to all the fans that have no internet-connection whatsoever and therefore aren't able to load bug-fixes.

Bethesda? Lol ... their philosophy seems to be: Grab the money first, ask questions later

Yes, media molecule is one of the best game developers out there. You want to know how to make an award winning game, that has the potential to have quite possibly unlimited game breaking bugs but the game still plays marvelously. Look at Little Big Planet. One was great, two is sublime. Bethesda could not hope to even compare with the level of customer satisfaction Media molecule has, they develop games on two entirely different premises. I mean how do you make a game where people can make their own game in your game, and the game still plays better than a "closed" game where no changes can be made. Except PC versions. You can't even say Skyrim is bigger than LBP, they are different types of games but the scale of both of them is massive. The physics in LBP probably outdo the physics in Skyrim. Sure Skyrim looks great, but so does LBP. Media Molecule builds with their gaming community, Bethesda builds at their gaming community.

It is nice when you find a company with good customer relations though, isn't it? Take Deep Silver, for instance. They're the developers of Dead Island. When they found out about a good number of game-breaking glitches, they flew fast to put out a patch that actually managed to fix a lot of problems. Then, as an apology, they put out another patch that not only gave the player 10 more levels to level up through, but new weapon mod recipes, better item finds, and improved quest rewards. There was no paid DLC, you just got it free in a patch.
The patching was a mess for Dead Island...

The day one patch was fine but it just corrected some minor things.

The second patch was released and then pulled.
That caused version matching problems with with multiplayer not to mention the second patch fixed a few minors things and broke things that weren't broken before.

The third patch that fixed the no-saving / save corruption problems in DI took more than a month to fix.

But I give Techland a pass for that since they're still a relative new comer to big titles (only other big title from Techland that I can recall is Call of Juarez).
