Jipped. We don't have any of those stores here. And if we did, it's Australia, we wouldn't get the deals anyway.

I never pre order and i prefer buy 2 games instead of almost double price for some useless in game items, soundtrack etc.

It's just so more people can pre-order the game. The different stores gimmick is what really annoys me. Might I remind you that EA did the same thing with Mass Effect and they where hated for it, and with good reason. All I want to know is if I will be able to buy those merchndices seperatly? If not, then we have a problem...

Guys, I don't know if I'll be able to sleep at night if I don't get both the USB Oil lamp AND the collectable trading cards. Consider me two sales!

This is why I want to know if you can buy them separately after launch. If not, I will be very disappointed. They won't lose a sale but it will be really sad because I don't have the means to pre-order it in order to get the cards I want so badly.

I'd like to know how big the lamp is (physically).  If coffee mug size that would be awesome, but if its keychain size I'll go for the cards.

Probably closer to the former

I hate preorder bonus content, especially if they have five different retailers and everyone has different preorder bonus.

No, see, I'm more concerned about the devs pulling an EA-style stunt on us. I read in the GameInformer article on Dishonored last year that there was a charm that allowed you to gain extra health from dining on white rats. Yet now it's being packaged with a few other charms as an "exclusive" pre-order pack. If they removed that charm and other charms from the game in order to sell them as exclusive pre-order DLC, like how BioWare cut the Prothean character from Mass Effect 3 during development and made him a collector's edition bonus, I'm going to be really disappointed.

That would be a tragedy. I don't see why marketing doesn't sale those pre-order bonuses separately. Deus Ex:Human Revolution had good pre-order bonuses (the same from everywhere) and you could buy the seperately. Why not do the same thing here?

A lot of research has been done, and we got inspired by several alternative Tarot decks, which are sometimes very far from the usual divinatory deck... But first, we wanted something that really fits the game settings, which was not possible with a standard set of Tarot cards. And there are also a few tweaks done for the Game of Nancy rules set...
Wow, I don't know how I missed what you said in your previous post, that'll teach me to post something after being awake for 30 hours. Thanks for elaborating on the previous info, though.

These kinda bonus/cheats/boosts shouldn't be given out this way.

It makes for an odd gameplay experience, especially when theyre given to you straight from the off , ike Deus Ex HR -

"Okay Adam, you want to go lethal? or non-lethal? Great, Close quarters? or Long Ranger, brilliant. Get the job done. On and wait, here's a shotgun and sniper rifle for no reason. Hey take 10k credits as well to unbalance the begining of the game."

They should be worked into the game naturally.

Yes but you can choose not to use them. I hope we get the same choice with Dishonored, otherwise it's kinda pointless.

I had no idea pre-order bonuses had been announced for Dishonored at GameStop, and I work there. XD I usually know these things several days before the public does. But the pre-order bonuses look promising. I'm glad I have my copy pre-ordered already.

Although I just dumped the weapons, and cash was so ridiculously easy to get the extra 10k didn't really make any difference.

One game that did them fairly well, I think, was New Vegas. Most of the items were interesting (the Classic pack with the Vault 13 suit and canteen particularly), were better than the beginning stuff, but low amount of ammo meant you had to save the weapons for emergencies

Seeing as there's (I believe) not really an NGP (which is cool given the structure of the game), having all the preorder bonuses simulates an "I'm God" playthrough. I like doing one of those after a vanilla one. I'll boot up Dishonored without putting in any DLC to see how you start without it, and then put it in and act accordingly. Simple. I just hope using the DLC doesn't cause potential loss of charms generating in the world and that they're on top of those that randomly generate.

On a totally different note, I wish I could watch the G4 demo!

Does it mean that if i preorder Dishonored i will get some unique perks that i won't be able to find in the game without the DLC?

Just signed up to register my distaste with retailer-specific pre-order bonuses.

The reasons are clear and have been expressed repeatedly already, so this post is just show that the portion of your community represented by me disagrees with this practice.
I've been a fan of Arkane games for a long time, and I really want Dishonored, but I will not be pre-ordering the game. I will probably not be paying full price either.

These bone charms are random and you can find them throughout the game. That means that if you're lucky you will be able to get them, yes.

The bonuses don't make you all that powerful but they are nice to have. And it is good that you can change them even during a mission. That makes for more versatile gameplay.
