The gem held his life force, but it never says explicitly that Jagar was a Lich or becoming one.

Why would he put his life force in a gem if not for that very purpose?

They have? What is said explanation?

AFAIK, there's still some question as to who or what Mannimarco IS. Possibly even divine (and just possessing mortal vessels). I kind of like the idea of Mannimarco being a coalesced kind of "wash off" of Magnus, a kind of clotted dark magical energy, making him actually part of and a son of Magnus.

Maybe. Maybe not.. But I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back as a Lich.

Well, I know the theory that, because of the Warp in the West, both timelines are real: the one in which he remained (im)mortal on Nirn, and the other in which he ascended to true godhood.

"In 3E 389, Jagar Tharn took the Staff of Chaos from Barenziah's court after seducing her. He used the staff to imprison Emperor Uriel Septim VII in the realm of Oblivion and then to kill his apprentice Ria Silmane so the Elder Council could not learn of his betrayal. Tharn wanted to make sure no one could release the emperor, so he attempted to destroy the staff. However, since the Staff of Chaos is indestructible, it was split into eight pieces, which Tharn then hid in forgotten, dangerous places throughout Tamriel. Tharn then made sure that no one could ever recreate the staff by draining its magical power into the Jewel of Fire, which he kept hidden in the Imperial Palace."

More power I would say. Not to become this:

Another theory is that the king of worms we see in Oblivion is a corpse possessed by the true king of worms.

Highly unlikely since we've been to Solstheim before and never saw this Miraak Temple. It has to been recent.
In the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGIgXeGC6Dg around 2:40 it shows a large room with dragons in it. It appears to be in an underground dungeon, so it could have been missed in Bloodmoon.

Quick, change the Telvanni Tower link to that deviant art picture and the Netch link to http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Netch#Netch before someone gets mad!

^^^This. Also that Malyn Varen's failure might have has something to do with Mannimarco's intereference (no proof at all, just a feeling).

True but I highly doubt it atm...

I'm going more with the idea of Jagar Tharn return... Sounds like a cool questline to me.

I'm new here, actually joined specifically to share my theory:
Spoiler
Vivec. True, he lost his godhood after the Nerevarine took down Dagoth Ur. And he disappeared during the Oblivion Crisis (some say he was pulled into Oblivion, some say he fled to Solstheim, but nobody knows for sure), and he is most likely dead. However, it's not so easy to kill a god, even one who isn't a god anymore. I believe he may have found a way to stay alive for the past two hundred years, to face seeing first his city then his entire island destroyed (the Ministry of Truth fell on Vivec City, and then Red Mountain erupted). One way for him to stay alive may be that Azura further cursed him to see how far the Dunmer have fallen.

Vivec achieved CHIM, so by all means, the loss of the Heart of the World does not mean as much to him as it meant to Almalexia and Sotha Sil.

It's not offical lore, but written by a former Bethesda writer, Michael Kirkbride (and some other developers). MK is the guy behind pretty much everything story- and lore-related in Morrowind.

Also: where is it mentioned that Vivec fled to Solstheim?
I can only recall that he could have been taken by the Daedra.

Welcome to the forums. :bunny:

im sure a temple could have fromed from underground from the eruption (assuming there was an earthquake)
Just some players think that a lot doesnt change over how long ago morrowind was before skyrim.
