Bethesda announces PS3 and PC DLC coming soon!

Post » Thu Nov 08, 2012 9:12 pm

Is "close to" the new "soon?"?
Or where do we put it on the soon-scale? Is it sooner than very soon or later than soon?

I ... I've got nothing.

Do you remember being a child, and asking your parents for something? It could have been anything, and always being given the same answer. "Maybe"

Then knowing deep down inside, that you were not going to get your way, or whatever it is you wanted?

This is that type of situation.

I'm starting to get excited, but I'm trying to keep my cool here. However, one thing that's bothering me is that if it had anything to do with Dawnguard, they'd probably be parading around and talking about how much they care about all their customers and all that other bull.

Well. This is how it goes for new content on all platforms.
XBOX 360 - Gets it first (They discover all easter eggs etc and guides are ready by the time it is ported to PC)
PC - Gets it after 30 days HOWEVER we have a plethora of mods to keep us entertained.
PS3 - Gah.

I dont know what to think. Im surprised and happy and excited. But i am unsure about what they are doing, mainly because of whats happened these past months. Good to see it might finally end. Hopefully.

I'll be pissed if Werebears are for PC or PS3 only!

I was pissed when the DLC didnt come out and i barely heard anything from the only people who knew what was going on.

But i dont want werebears to be on PS3 and PC only. All should share the glory of the werebear

The Gstaff quote makes it seem as though he is talking about content coming to PC and PS3 that ISN'T Dawnguard, Hearthfire, or Dragonborn. I think that is where some confusion is springing up. Was he being vague on purpose or is he actually talking about dlc other than what they've released so far?

Edit: To be clear, I'm not opposed to PS3 players getting some kind of benefit for the insane wait, however, I don't think turning around and giving them exclusive dlc is the best move to make (financially and common sense wise). If they are going to be nice to PS3 owners, how about just give them the dlc? That would be a good peace offering I think.

Another edit: Of course giving them the dlc wouldn't be good for them financially either, lol. I guess I'm just saying it would be a more even handed move than giving PS3 players exclusive content that Xbox players can't have. It just adds fuel to the fire in my opinion, because I don't know about everyone else, but as an Xbox player, I NEVER had anything against any other players. I am grateful to have access to the dlc (mostly) and I wish everyone could, so please don't punish me just because you slipped up Beth. It seems more than backwards, ya know?
