GTA V Thread #6

Post » Mon Sep 23, 2013 12:23 pm

I just saw this article, it may be of some help http://m.ign.com/wikis/gta-5/How_to_Make_Money_in_GTA_5

Also, I've read that Lester has assassination missions available and investing in the targets stock market before offing them and then selling all their stocks after can net you good money. I just met Lester, so I haven't seen the assassination missions yet.

That would be great if I found that before I bought a useless property that was 800k. So now I don't have any money to invest in the market even though there are opportunities passing me by. I know I did some missions and a certain character told me to invest in them.

I like this quote from that article.

I love games like that where you start off broke and climb your way up. If GTA V is like that, then I approve 100%.

Are assassination missions available for you? How much does that 800k property net you?

To make money you need to spend money or just advance the story an kill people it is Grand Theft Auto after all not the knitting club.

Also a good way of making money is to do some of the strangers an freaks missions an help during the random crimes but if by tons you mean millions then your not gonna earn that until the final heist.

Franklin was broke until the big score with all the cash going on lsc an upgrading the rides or dying an it costing 5k an stocking up on ammo gets expensive too when you got a friend named lamarr who attracts trouble like its hunting season.

Michael he was stingy an petty much only spent money on bulletproof tires an ammo.

Trevor is Trevor never met an npc he didnt kill or a car he didnt blow up or an army base he didnt try stealing a damn jet from bloody AA missiles but he is determined to steal a jet no matter if it costs him millions in medical bills.

Considering that we often like to depict Russians and the British as evil conniving bastards that want to screw over the American hero, I think we can all suffer a bit of the same treatment back. Besides, from what I can tell, it only insults the 'overly-entitled bastards who think they get to take everything for themselves'. If you're not an overly-entitled bastard who thinks you deserve everything, then it's not insulting you. Plus, they've got a stereotypical greedy Armenian, they've got Chinese stereotypes, etc. Everyone in the game is riped for poking fun at.

Really, my fellow Americans, talk about hypocrisy. It's OK if we depict Russians and the British as evil bastards, but God help us if they do the same to us? I think there's a reason Grand Theft Auto is so popular.

(This was not directed at you, fantasyjunkie. This was directed at the Yanks that might get upset over this game.)

One of the reasons I enjoyed GTA IV and GTA in general is it lampoons American culture of the time and the protagonists are always fairly self aware in a sea of stupidity and faux personalities. Like me IRL, I seriously don't understand the obsession with Twitter and all the other Social Medias, I only use Facebook because I keep in touch with people, that's about it. Plus, the commercials pretty much capture how bizarre how some of our advertising is, lol.

I know, right? xD Or our obsession with our current celebrities and reality shows. xD Please tell me they even poked fun at 'Twilight'. That was a big thing recently.

They have a show on the in game TV called Fame or Shame. It's an American Idol parody. Even has a Simon Cowell parody host. There's a CoD parody too called Righteous Slaughter 7.

I just got him last night and while I enjoy the other 2, Trevor is definitely my favorite character...especially since I dislike Jewwy Klebitz from the Lost and the Damned  (no offense to Israelites, it's just a silly name we called him when the DLC was new).

I'm pissed I messed up making a friend/crew member as I came across 2 guys holding up another guy and instantly shot them both in the head before they said anything...I found out after they were dead that 1 of them was:

Spoiler
Packie from GTA 4 and he could become a getaway driver for your crew

Does anyone know if the random events respawn or is he gone for good?

I was surprised with that. Never I'd see a protagonist do that to another protagonist.

Anyway, I got 100k for helping a random guy get his bike back. And while helping another guy I got a Super Diamond (which is a car btw). Hopefully my garage doesn't eat it like it did Michael's Comet.

From what i know they do respawn now if you excuse me but i need to go back to that damn fort again an try once more to steal a jet without getting shot down before i take off.

The military aint what they used to be on 5 they actually know how to shoot you.

Now if your vehicles carry over to online then im going to be doing a lot of heists in my tank an running over anything in my way.

If you can drive up to it, use the car as bullet deflection and pull up driverside of the car to the hatch of the plane and just fly away.

Pretty much anything 4 star or higher in GTA4 and they knew how to shoot you very well. Though even at the highest level they were idiots when you were using cover. Rockstar really did a nice job with the thinking that the AI does, only dev I've seen do better imo is Konami but then again, most of their game is based around those guys.

It's not like San Andreas were stealing the jet was easy cause you destroyed the AA on 5 you can not destroy the AA before hand an as soon as you open the hatch you got a missile locked on you then you also got the men an tanks shooting at you an your tank is a smouldering wreck so here you are going down a runway in a damaged jet when a second missile hits you then you somehow manage to take off when boom it explodes an your respawning 5000 less cash.

I will steal me a damn jet though if it's the last thing Trevor does because Trevor is the one you want here he is going tank vs tanks, choppers and men an lasting 4 minutes or so but Franklin destroyed 4 cars before his tank blew up

Can you not barricade the plan to deter foes (Maybe use a tank to deter the tank?), drop a flare or some kind of flare to lure the heat seeker, then fly away as fast as you can?

Also, looked it up, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vZfNeZhcBw might help you out. (And makes me wish I could afford GTA V :cryvaultboy:)
