4: There's more in the first gameplay introduction video they did.

I'm pretty certain that there is no cape slot, but instead the chest-piece has a cloak attached to it, like the Nightingale armor for example.

There were cloaks in the first gameplay trailer back in october last year, and in the first few screen shots when it was first announced.

SWTOR mostly guns or lightsabers no shields or swords.

Asheron's Call not in service.

WoW Last time I played it swords poked through the cloaks when sheathed.

Skyrim Vanillia game is single player I did say mmo.

DAoC cloak clipped through sheathed swords last I played it.

EQ2 honestly can not remember the cloaks in that game.

LoTRO sheathed weapons again clip through.

GW1 never played it

AoC sheathed weapons and shields clip through cloaks.

Out of all the games I have played with cloaks, weapons and shields clip through when sheathed or in use. The only game where they didn't was UO.

I don't understand why all the nay sayers are acting like this isn't a possible thing. Sure some games had cloaks that clipped, but honestly if enough people wanted them I'm sure the devs could figure something out

What im saying is a separate clothing item, not armor or anything, like an amulet isn't armor. As far as armors with capes im ok with that because that's already been implicated in TES. What im sayin is something you can equip/unequip without affecting your armor. Keeping it cosmetic really. The idea of applying an emblem to them to show various guilds and whatnot is an amazing idea. The application of cloaks are endless!

im perfectly fine with cloaks whether with stats or not, but as weve seen most are built into the armors themselves... so if anything instead of it being an extra slot it might just be part of the chest piece if thats the way they are designed... so much customization and possibility.

If you build it into the armor then the people who want cloaks have to change their armor based on just on piece of apparel. Like say you have the best armor rating for your current level, and you want a cloak. For this proposed hypothetical situation you'd have to sacrifice your rating just so you can wear it, and that's not what im proposing.

I don't like cloaks, I realise it's probably just me but they basically hide your armor considering you spend 95% of your time looking at the back of your character (in third person). Typically they're generally some simple or dorky looking cloaks that cover all of the detail and work that devs put into the armor sets.

Then there is clipping, but lets not even get started with that.
