You can see all of Tamriel on one character. It's called 50+ (or ++ for the third faction you visit). You just can't *join* any other factions.

The good? Ok, they not focused on exploration. They may say they are, but they also use quest markers. So no.

The bad - Agree, I dont like the area restriction. Its a big downer.
