PS3 Release for Dawnguard-Thread #24

Which I honestly don't mind, because being a vampire has it's perks in that game and the downsides don't bother me that much. Actually adds challenge to the benefits.

That said though, it still doesn't excuse that they never fixed a game altering bug of that proportion.

I can only imagine the backlash from that, but it will be justified for Bethesda because it gave them more money in their pockets which they don't have to give back.

As I've told everybody else, you can return your BluRay PS3 Disc of Skyrim for $10 and get a PC version returned to you if you go through Bethesda's customer service. Not the best looking solution, but probably the best one (which isn't saying much except that the company does svck at coding for the PS3).

I game on a budget. I don't have a pc capable of playing Skyrim, so that's out of the question for me. That's not an answer for a majority of people that unknowingly bought a broken game.

"Nothing to share or update" Hmmm how long has it been since they said they got Sony working with them a month, two months and there is still nothing new. I guess this is what is really happening. Sony rejected the DLC because it was being a totally mess (now lets be honest Beth careing about quality products for PS3 that doesn't happen over one DLC so they still sent the DLC to Sony) because off the rejection Beth had to go back to "fix" (*cough* hide *cough*) the problems until Sony says yea this is ok. To me that would explian why there hasn't been any progress regarding the DLC if you have Sony helping you fix a problem for the PS3 then they should have had some progress about now but there isn't any why? why because all Sony is doing is most likely testing to see if it's an appectable level not fixing the problem. But I could be wrong.

But how could Sony fix it? The PS3 version of Skyrim is not really a PS3 version of Skyrim. It is a XBOX 360 version disguised as the PS3. It would be like trying to turn the PS3 into a XBOX 360. No wonder PS3 is having so much trouble, it is playing an XBOX game. PC is close so PC players are able to slide. I think they will never fix it. They can't. Not without re-doing Skyrim. Maybe they will prove me wrong, but I doubt it.

I've lost interest at this point......I've moved on from skyrim and bethesda, I've gone back to playing Dragon's Dogma and Dark Souls, As well gearing up for Assassin Creed three and Assassin Creed Three Liberation release. hell.......I'll gladly spend my money on an other COD game then ever give my money to bethesda again (( and I don't even like COD to began with that how done with bethesda I am))

Gee, isn't that nice. They will charge someone $10 to return a defective product, nevermind the fact that the company new about the defects before release yet still chose to move forward, and get a product that works the way it s supposed to.

Wow. Bethesda...real class acts.

Hey ya sure ill send my ps3 copy back....as long as they buy me a gaming pc to run the damn thing seeing as how all i have is an HP mini for university work

By the way how is Dragon's Dogma? Ive been looking into it and have become impressed. How the ps3 version, i heard the 360 suffers from server screen tearing and the ps3 framerate takes a shot every now and then?

Good point missed that. But really all I think is that Sony is just say no everytime Beth trys and gives it to them after they make a few changes or trys something new.If Sony is indeed helping with the dirty work then I think they might be pushing for a re-write. But that's not going to happen too much time and too much money will be needed to do it so Beth will just drop it.

I've been enjoying it alot, I've had my framerate dip once and a while, but it's not to bad, nothing compared to my fallout 3/New vegas/ Skyrim expereince.....I've lost count the many time I had to restart my PS3 becasue of New vegas.

New Vegas was such a mess for me it froze my PS3 before I even got to the menu screen.

Geez......I wanted to go back though and beat it but idk ten minutes into a new character it froze, I nearly broke the disk, instead I added to a pile of trade in games, 128 dollars for seven games. Paid off my AC3 preorder and my sisters BLOPS2 pre-order did the nice older brother thing and pre-ordered for her, I may steal the game time to time for zombies. two weeks prior to that I had paid off AC3 liberation with my own cash.

ya it looks interesting roughly like skyrim but it has its own unique identity. I put skyrim down for 2 weeks and went back to it yesterday and boy did i ever notice the lag, i guess when you play it for a long time you get used to it that its there and dont recognize it as much, yet when you leave it then come back boy do you ever see it

i bet if i had a 360 and played that version it would be night and day and then be yelling "WHY THE HELL DOESNT IT PLAY LIKE THIS ON PS3!!!!". Ive only played it on my friend PC however this was before i knew of the problems the ps3 version had so i can not compare nor remember how smoothly it played.

one solution would be to release a real version of ps3 skyrim with an option to exchange free for all those who have the current version.

By doing this, there will be no problem for any future DLC.

im not going to miss it there are many alternatives like dogma as stated, plus i know the company behind skyrim doesn't respect nor care about the ps3 fanbase, i can understand complications TO A POINT but the minute there is lack of communication between the community and the company that means they clearly dont give a [censored] nor let us in on what is happening.

hence why I switched, I still get randonly funny moments in dogma. Dark souls...eh not so much, unless you touch somebody blood stain and see how they die , watching people fall off a cliff is still funny.

I'm sorry but why would anyone buy the PS3 version of Skyrim after experiencing how Fallout 3 and New Vegas was like? I've never played those games and I thought about getting them some months back to make time go by during my wait for Dawnguard back in May. But when I looked at the reviews of the games, I read so many bad news. Had I known about how bad these games played on the PS3, I wouldn't have even considered buying Skyrim for PS3 for fear it would be the exact same problem as Bethesda previous games and it is the exact same problem! I have heard they are not even going to fix the Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition at the state it is in. You can barely even move. Now if they don't give a darn about Fallout 3 GOTY Edition and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition, I see no reason why Skyrim would be any different.

probably due to the fact that it is a whole new engine they stated, i guess we heard that and immediately thought that this could be the one thing that could make the games work, maybe to read the data differently or find a way not to overwhelm the system

Two reason why people still brought Skyrim on PS3 knowing about the problem from FO.

1) A second chance sort of thing like they hoped they learned from thier mistakes, sadly this has been proved wrong.

2) They fell for the lie that were being told that the PS3 is at the same level of proformace as the PC and Xbox and that the PS3 was getting alot of attention. This turned out to be untrue on day one.
