Quick scoping in Crysis 2????

Post » Wed Jul 21, 2010 11:30 pm

Anyone knows if we would be able to quick scope in Crysis 2. I really enjoy doing it and I wish that I could take it to Crysis 2 just like it was in Modern Warfare 2. If Crytek, anyone from Crytek ever reads this Forum, please maybe make sniping just like in Modern Warfare 2, so we would be able to quick scope. Also, release the game damn it, I can't wait until March any more!!! xD

Good chance that they will copy the Sleight of Hand perk somehow...but I would need to see the MP vid where the guy snipes someone to really see if it's THAT fast.

I do agree though, it was a fun part of the game.

What is this quickscoping? instantly getting zoomed in view, rather than putting your face to the sights?

Wait... I thought we were trying to move AWAY from MW2 as a basis for Crysis 2. I myself don't want an MW2 clone. I understand that the small suggestion you made hardly turns Crysis 2 into MW2, except that Crysis 2 already has a very 'MW2' feel to it.

Its zooming into your sniper scope and immediately shooting, instead of taking the time to aim and go for a headshot.

I agree. Quickscoping was lame and it just spoilt the entire game. In Crysis 2 MP, there is supposed to be a more tactical style of gameplay. Running around quickscoping just does not fit in.

quickscoping is fun and all, but I dont think it can add anything constructive to Crysis 2

I can tell you that they wouldn't copy MW2. It was a lame thing to do. It's mainly about showing off. I know for certain that sniping in this game is about delays, so I can assume you won't be able to quick scope your enemies.

So yeah, I suggest you return to MW2, because this isn't the right game for you.

Quickscoping tends to attract the wrong kinds of people IMO.
The majority of "quickscopers" are just stereotypical try-hards shouting racist comments because they think it makes them cool and worth listening to. Wich means the kids usually end up copying them - as kids do.

That would only make it more effective at quickscoping.
People tend to prefer bolt actions to prove skill and aswell as them having a kind-of finesse about them, without bolt-actioons they'll simply switch to the semi-auto's.

I am really hoping that there will be no quickscoping in crysis 2. everyone thinks they are awesome and will try and do it, only to end up looking stupid and ruining the game for their teammates.

Modern Warfare 2 isnt the only game that allows quick scoping. The M1903 in Far Cry 2 is great for quickscoping. :P

This QS is a load of BS let it stay in COD MW games no need for such on crysis2, let people take their shots like men as a sniper should. sniping was an art in the 1st game and the fact that people expect all ideas from COD to make it to crysis is a no no. The game may look like COD but its a whole different beast....

TBH, I only came across one Q/S type ingame, he was incredible, turned out to be an excuse to cover his use of Aimbot, !!

It shouldn't be a part of this game, the style would be quite wrong anyway,
and having fired a sniper rifle, i know Q/S is not really,

you can lay on to/sight up a target in the most reasonable time and get a kill, or you can be too quick, then you might possibly maim or miss alltogether

If the case is the latter. then you wouldnt be a sniper, its a simple fact. while we are talking about games here though, it still isnt warlike at all.

I like my war games to have some realism, that also includes Crysis even though the Nano part is far fetched but cool, the ethics are the same.

for those of you saying quick scoping ruined mw2, think about how much skill quick scoping took compared to using marathon lightweight commando and one man army noobtubes. and i think that quick scoping is great, but it needs to be harder to do, unlike mw2, where soh made it way too easy.

it's unlikely to work as cod is probably the only game with a built in aimbot for console (qs doesn't work anywhere near as well in pc, you may as well aim properly, since there's no aimbot helping you). QS in halo, for example, is impossible.

Even if they did somehow keep QS in, it won't affect me too much i guess, crysis 2 is a game that cannot rightfully be played on anything but the PC if you have the choice :D (although the console version will be good too if you don't have the choice).

quick scoping (from my limited research) looks like its not a feature at all, just a way players play the game. the only way crytek could avoid it happening is to greatly increase the amount of time it takes you to get your scope "lined up"

(unless I'm misunderstanding something?)
