Remember Project Beauty? Well, guess what!

He's also a talented artist whatever his disposition, so I honor his restrictions however much I find them distasteful.

So that makes facegen values his "canvas'?

Not to generalise, but I'm tending to find that modders that center themselves around the Nexus community are very drama-prone, overreactive and conceited.

He's a barrister. He's quite clever with words.

Well, that pretty much sums that up. Explains a few things as well since 99% of the people on the planet equate barrister with dike pretty consistently. I think it's in the barrister's blood. They see how 1,000's of people are screwing each other so they are overly protective of their own efforts to "out smart" those (real or perceived) that might screw them. Probably also explains why he isn't working for a gaming company. I imagine a barrister makes a wee tad more than most game artists.

it's kind've hard for me to not appreciate one of the few modders that actually improves on the in-game appearances instead of turning them into 12-year-old anime girls. What's more irritating IMO is the screeching by users at other authors to make their mods compatible with Project Beauty as if it's somehow their faults.

I absolutely couldn't agree more. :foodndrink:

I find that to be the case with 90% of modders, programmers, and artists. A lot of people take a lot of pride in their work and are sensitive about it. Right or wrong.

Oh well, it's a frak'n mod, and I like it. I don't give a crap who the author is or what their problems are as long as their work is good, and his is.

I don't if or why he would do that. I guess I'll find out when I'm going to make Companion Sandbox Mode compatible with it.

I am using them both, with no apparent issues.

Same here. No issues running them together.

:wavey: Hi DRG!

Same here. I like what he's done with this version. I looked at all the pictures and read all his comments and agree with why he changed them. I would have done it the same way and for the same reasons. Not that I have the skills (or patience) to sit there and redesign so many faces.
Although in FO3 I never 'upgraded' from the first couple of versions. My version still has no master file. I just didn't like some of the faces he changed and after a while it looked (to me) like more effort was being put into female faces rather than equally both. So I stopped updating, even though the rare occasions I had to post my load order and people kept telling me to update. I didn't want to.
Reminds me of Streamline for Oblivion. I was happy with the first version and refused to 'upgrade' to the most current. I didn't like it, I liked the old one.

So far I haven't come across many changed NPC's, I have to reinstall as I deliberately removed certain textures before installing (female face texture as I use a custom), but should have kept the elderly ones because Ruby Nash, for example, is looking a little green

Anyone who can make a male NPC look normal, and not like a Gary clone is a good modder, IMO :goodjob:
I do have two FO3 mods to help prevent that, but it's not really working.

Edit: Spelling

I believe PB alters only Veronica's head so far, of the companions. If I'm understanding it right, my mod (V2 anyway) would overwrite the changes made to her face.

I'm not using Veronica right now so I can't say whether or not her appearance has changed, however I am using Cass, and her appearance has changed.

The only one screwing people is the person who won't allow compatibility patches.

It does, but that's easy to resolve with Wrye Flash and FNVEdit. In fact, i use Princess Stomper's Veronica over the PB one :)

Maybe I should post a simple guide on my download page or something, since there are quite a few mods that alter the companions...

That would be nice.

Make it as clear as possible though. FNVEdit and WryeFlash aren't exactly the most user-friendly tools out there.

I never noticed that PB alters followers. I don't use the esp, just the esm and have one of my own cosmetic plugins somewhere near the bottom. None of my cosmetic mods are included in my bashed patch because I don't know how to add tags. I prefer my versions of the followers, anyway, because they're my past FO3 characters. Just to be different :P
