Restoration, pure Epic

It should be said, that's a tough dungeon for newb characters. It's packed with mages.

Thx for heads up :)

Nordic Tomb North of Riften. The name begins with an "A", if I'm correct. There is a small quest where you gotta kill a psychopathic necromancer at the end who wants revenge on someone for killing her love which she couldn't resurrect. You get the Ghostblade here. In the final room where the chest is, the spelltome is on the table nearby.

Thank you very much :)

I honestly think its more annoying for higher leveled characters, as on lower levels theydont fus ro dah you off your feet.

Wards can block Fus Ro Dah so that isn't a problem.

Oh, I'm talking about the mages themselves. Not the draugr they control. We're talking about Ansilvund, right?

The toughness is that it's dark and narrow, gets a little cramped, and the mages might cast Fireball or something equally damaging. While the draugr beat on you.

Funnily enough, it's a school like Restoration that makes it easier.

Oh, you guys are talking about a different dungeon. My bad.

I forget because sometimes I assume it wont knock me over, since like 85 percent of the time it just stuns you, but when it does I'm all like "should've used the ward..." lol.

And enemy mages may use it to... That is how I figured it out. Tried Fus Ro Dahing this powerful mage.. She used a ward and wasn't effected at all! I was like "F U!"

I just dont know where to fit wards. I like the concept, but for a pure or strongly focused mage, you're going to want to spend time destroying as quick as possible. With spellswords, your mana is too precious for wards. You're better off with spellbreaker.

I use it to close the gap with me and mages. Then I pull out my shield and either shield bash slash, or shield charge them. Its true for spell swords and paladins who dont have as much magicka as a mage, its more costly, but not that much, especially with enchanting.

I have this same problem. I mean the idea of blocking dragon breath with wards is cool and all, but I have no idea how to utilize them. Wards cost way too much magicka for me.

Spellbreaker is a better choice but I don't carry that shield all the time... And I prefer using Auriel's Shield.

Btw.. The Shield Charge Perk is currently glitched for me. I can still do the charge but it doesn't knock anything off their feet.

Yea, thats the reason why I make new saves instead of saving over. I heard that save bloats was a myth, but I tried it anyway. Ever since my shield charge never went away.

That still takes incredibly long. Besides equilibrium, the fastest way to me was running around until you found a lot of wild animals, wear 4 pieces of armor that decreased your restoration cost to 0, then constantly heal yourself while you take a beating. I had 3 sabrecats and two bears wailing on me while healing to get to 100. Now that I know better, I'll just go get equilibrium from that other dungeon.

So.. It'll fix when I start making new saves or I will never get it back? And "save bloats"???

If you have either plenty of magicka or a lot of restoration cost down, its really handy. And for dragon breath, you really dont need anything more than your lesser ward.

I think on your current playthrough you are screwed, but next time just make new saves and delete the old ones. See if it works for you. That is by far the worst glitch in the game IMO.

Save bloats is just your save taking up more memory every time you save over it. Not sure if that is true, but it seems to be.

I prefer 2-Handed weapons anyways... I just like using Auriel Shield's Fus Ro Dah ability a lot XD.. But plz tell me, what else should I know about this "bloating"?

Ever since I started deleting my saves and making new ones, I've noticed less glitches and crashes including that accursed shield charge glitch. Dont quote me on this, as I remember some saying this isnt true, but it seems to work.

Dont know what other explanation I could give for the better performance.
