This might be a dumb question, but if you get a high enough resist will it block/weaken beneficial spells you cast on yourself? I don't think it will but it's always better to know in advanced.
Never did anything like this in Oblivion.

15% is really crappy, considering what it used to be.
They are trying to make it harder to max magic resist. The Bretons got their MR reduced by half. So I guess 15% is justified.
