Do you have it?
How does it compare to the rest of the Light armor in the game?

What makes you so sure we'll get it? - Hircine's other blessings include the Spear of Bitter Mercy and lycanthropy...

Oh wait... no spears. And I'd rather not catch werewolf AIDS for a quest reward xD

I was thinking more in terms of its Armor rating but okay. I like that. It fits what I want from a Light Armor.

50% Poison Resistance

Poison resistance has always been useless in TES.

The magicka resist seems to go down in every next game first 60%, then 25% now 15%.

Finding Magicka Resistance that high probably won't be as easy as rolling up to the Mages Guild and enchanting five things for 20%

You could start by being a Breton with Mage and shield or sword and shield.

Hint: You can disassemble magic items/armor to learn how to make enchanted armor with those same properties. Helm+boots+armor+gloves+ring+ring+whatever means you can get fairly high magic resistance, and you can enchant things twice with perks.

Even "bad" magic items will mean lots of chances to pick up new enchantments to learn. Which is a lot cooler than waiting for the right random combo on a Diablo drop or something!

Don't like Apprentices' weaknesses, then you can enchant your armor to more than double your mana, or pick up apprentice, and enchant your armor to counter the weakness!

Apprentice seems actually better than Mage, because you can just cast 2x the spells in the same time, meaning 100% skill increase rate, rather than 20%.

Even with 6 items if the cap is 15% it's not perfect, it's only 90%

Heh... only 90% spell resistance. And that's only taking up half your enchantment slots, on one set of armor. I'd consider 90% fairly completely mage-proof in practical terms. You can also add in Breton's passive, or Lord's starsign, but that's just overkill, so to speak.

Anything less than 100% still allows you to be affected by status effects such as silence. If they implemented magic resist to reduce the effect duration, then 90% is enough to render most effects useless. However, if it is anything like oblivion where you suffer the full duration, there is a huge difference.

Enchanter Perk at 5 perks gives a 100% increase to effects. So with 6 items and Enchanter (5) you get 180% MR.

15% is really crappy, considering what it used to be.

This might be a dumb question, but if you get a high enough resist will it block/weaken beneficial spells you cast on yourself? I don't think it will but it's always better to know in advanced.
