Though I love the movie, I was a bit disappointed in the deductions. Most of them could not have been made by the audience.
The chemistry between Robert Downey and Jude Law was great. I also like the depiction of 19th century London, the music, etc. Oh and for some reason I really liked the guy who played Inspector Listrade.
But anyway, I will keep an eye out for the BBC version. There are some great series from the BBC.
If you were disappointed by the 'detective' side of the movies, then
Sherlock is for you. There is lots of deduction-y stuff but it's far more clever than in the Guy Richie movies. The show pretty much always gives you enough to work it out yourself, but it's smart enough that you're unlikely to get it before Sherlock does (and you'll be kicking yourself on the reveal).
