We should have more control over the topic we make

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 10:56 am

I am not trying to stir up anything negative. I just think if you thought of the topic you should be able to have alittle but more control over it...not morderator kind of control but definatly more then what we have. I mean it is our topic. We made it and thought of it. Like i think we should be able to change the name of our topics if we so please. I mean the topic wouldnt even be there if it werent for the person who made it and though of it. Also deleting posts. I make ALOT of topics and i try to make ppl think when i do make them. But then someone comes along and discusses something else entirely. And deleting our topics. We should be able to do that. What if we make a topic we didnt really wanna make and its 2 days old and no ones reading it or looking at it. It would also help clean up the forums. Ya i get it someone could make a topic and make it a big hit and be mean and delete it. But they made it and as a said before it wouldnt even be there if that person didnt think of it or make it. Its kinda like coming up with a idea and then handing it over to someone else. Its just an issue i think we should have more discussion on. I mean this site wouldnt be hear if we werent going on to it.Bethesda wouldnt even exist if we didnt want them to.Fans are what make up this site were about 99% of the population on here. Just something for us fans and the Administrators to think about.

you need to get 100 skill in lockpicking to get the perk that allows you to unlock locked threads.

If you have problems with mods you should PM them or a administrator.

You probably shouldn't post threads in forums where they don't belong.

I'm predicting Leydenne will handle this one. :whistling:

I'll be damned if people go around deleting my posts I took extra love and time to write. People have rights and they have the right to comment, just because you don't like it don't get all totalitarian on me.

I hope you do realize Bethesda lets you use this forum for free and with no obligations. All they ask is that you follow the rules.

They don't want you to have control over deleting your own threads because they want guests and other users to be able to find the information they're looking for without having to post new threads. If everyone went around willy-nilly deleting their threads at their own leisure, how is a guest going to find what they're looking for?

if you have problems with what moderators do you should PM them about it. We are not allowed to make topics about them.

Not if means deleting posts that aren't yours. If you delete a whole topic then all of the other posts and discussion gets deleted along with it.

And it helps other people who have the same question, so they can use the search function instead of making another topic.

Every single on of my posts would be deleted by thread posters who get mad. No thanks. I think the forums are perfectly fine.

Oh, and all the other points people pointed out already....

Not this part and by agreeing to having the privilege to post on Bethesda's forum, you don't have control over your posts. It's as simple as that. If you want to delete a post, contact a Moderator or edit the post and delete the content, but that's it and it seems to work just fine for the other tens of thousands of members.
