Despite over 200+ hours in this game, I still haven't managed to find any decent shortcuts over mountains, so I'm hoofing it on the roads 90% of the time.
I thought the paper map that came with the game had roads, but it turns out they were only Hold boundaries.
However, I still have it hanging on my wall for a quick visual.
