Aussies already have it, time zones are a pain I know

Just imagine if they went with local mid night unlock for your timezone

I'm using this time to sleep. I've set my alarm to 23:55. Here's to hoping that I just shut my eyes and open them again when Skyrim is activated with it feeling like no time has passed at all. :flamethrower:

Well, I guess if you understood his post you'd realize he isn't talking about you since you do live in the UK.

That is just you then. I live in Arizona, and will be receiving the game at 10 PM, on the 10th, according to steam.

It is US specific does not effect UK never said it did which is why I added pending on YOUR timezone you can get it prior to midnight

If I got the game I would be able to play today at 10th its been confirmed and that's what various SS's of steam says it unlocks

Then I appologize and stand corrected, I truly believed they were unlocking at midnight for each time zone.

It still svcks. As nice as the whole 11.11.11 campaign was, it leads to situations like this where a whole lot of customers get annoyed because other people get the game before they do - can experience it, talk about it. Hell, even these damn forums are treating the game like it's launched now, but it isn't for me. Are they deleting gameplay posts from nom-Australians? I think not! ;)

In an age of 'instant communication' it's ludicrous to have staggered (local) launch times. We've known this for years - hell, we do product launches a few times a year, and they are truly global - all at the same instant, regardless of what time it is in a given area. Sure, it means that some people are up early, some up late, but everyone gets the launch at the exact same moment. A simple thing that avoids this kind of 11th hour frustration on the part of what must be a huge percentage of their pre-order base.

The real shame is that it just turns anticipation into frustration. You get people going into the game annoyed, rather than happy.
If they were smart and paying attention, they'd call Steam up and say, "Let 'er rip!".

Question is, are they listening to these forums, or should everyone start tweeting their a**es off?

Just like Mad MAX!!!

Oh and yes, this type of launch is just meh - even pirates have it now. Do a world wide launch and/or put a lock on consoles.

That's what they said originally but it was changed to regions later with several time zones lumped together.

I am getting confused now. I read a tweet from Pete Hines posted today it unlocks for everyone else midnight GMT 1 which would mean for me it would unlock at 6 PM instead of 11 PM. Steam still say 11 hours.

Lol why are people so foolish?

Bethesda sets the release date and time, Steam follows.

Youre saying they would stop using Steam because (you think) Bethesda made a wrong decision when it comes to the release schedule? Be more delusional please..
