Maybe Skyrim can get 5 million sales in one day or at least by the end of the weekend.
I hope so.

Biggest RPG launch in history possible?
You can bet on that.

Let's not forget those who are waiting before buying.
Of course my friend,i'm one of them,i will get Skyrim at the end of the month.

Well I guess it's not much compared to Transformers 3's $300,000,000 budget :)

Bill Gates: *makes grin, and ripple touches the ends of his fingers with each other*
Don't think Bill cares that much anymore, since he hasn't been involved much with Microsoft for a while. He's off doing his philanthropist thing with his foundation. Steve Ballmer probably cares more nowadays. :)

[censored] off with this VgChartz [censored]. Their stats are completely fake, just like their sales for Battlefield 1943 and Bad Company 2: Vietnam

http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/browse.php?name=battlefield+1943

http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/browse.php?name=Battlefield%3A+Bad+Company+2+Vietnam&keyword=&console=®ion=All&developer=&publisher=&genre=&boxart=Both&results=50&order=Popularity

0 sales at all? How can people beleive this crap, they have no credibility at all.
Those are all DLC or Digital. They don't track them, and even if they did this would just be a glitch.
Do you honestly think they're literally trying to tell you that all of those titles have never sold a single copy?
LOL

I doubt IMDB is right about Skyrim's budget.

Skyrim will turn a healthy profit.

It's an estimate. Why do you say that?, seems like a reasonable estimate to me. GTA IV had a $100,000,000 budget.

I think digital + hard copy PC matches PS3 at worst. In this case, I hope Bethesda look to the PC community and invest some of their revenue to supply us with full DX 11 support.

I know it's an estimate. I'm saying it's an inacurate estimate.

There is only game that costed $100M to develop: GTA4.

Wasn't it only 1.3 last week? They should let the streams keep going. They seem to be helping.

Yeap, not surprised at all. Especially this is in the americas only.

In europe with their order and their 60 euros each, its gonna be a hefty party over at Bethesda

Don't forget Skyrim, like Oblivion and Morrowind, will have a long life expectancy in the market due to the modding communities. Those are games that still have a profit margin today and are found on the shelves years after their release. The predicted GOTY edition with all DLCs will add more to this sum.
Those are very expensive games to make, but boy, are they profitable.

That's not taking into account CE editions or digital copies. The real number is probably closer to $130M on the first day.

Where does it say CE not included???

Profit to Bethesda ~$40 - 50 Million

also, the web site says this "The most pre-ordered games in the Americas ranked by unit sales"

note that "..in the Americas" so does that mean North, Central, and South America?
