I would love to see the sales be HUGE for Skyrim. Maybe we could get more quality fantasy/open world/RPGs developed instead of the current 20:1 ratio of shooters to quality games we have now.

[censored] off with this VgChartz [censored]. Their stats are completely fake, just like their sales for Battlefield 1943 and Bad Company 2: Vietnam

http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/browse.php?name=battlefield+1943

http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/browse.php?name=Battlefield%3A+Bad+Company+2+Vietnam&keyword=&console=®ion=All&developer=&publisher=&genre=&boxart=Both&results=50&order=Popularity

0 sales at all? How can people beleive this crap, they have no credibility at all.

That's not taking into account CE editions or digital copies. The real number is probably closer to $130M on the first day.

Skyrim and MW3 has been holding hands at the number 1 spot on Steam and D2D. I'm sure that jumps the pre-orders up by a substantial amount.

I wonder why they never include PC digital sales in these statistics?

Those are great numbers either way.

Somehow MW3 players have never heard of Skyrim, even though their easily the top games of the year, *shakes head*.

I guess most people are counting on Steam for their PC downloads

This PC gamer is hoping to Mehrunes Dagon that the servers work well, preload is released tomorrow, and I get it all installed by midnight Thursday. :unsure2:

Because most (all?) DD stores don't publicly release sales. It's up to the publisher I think.

It's been proven again and again that 360 owners show their support up front while PS3 owners make a major showing launch day and afterwards. Don't view these as indicators of who's got the biggest fanbase.

I don't know about other digital platforms but Valve/Steam is a private company and so not required to share their sales numbers - I think that the only way we would get their pre-order numbers would be if Bethesda published them.
