Has anyone reviewed some of the interviews the developers have provided? They have stated that they are focusing on the players experience, and that the DLC is going to be less in the quantity of releases, but will be more substantial in quality and size of the DLC. I have heard the rumors of a return to Morrowind and possibly Oblivion, but these are just that, rumors. Until I hear something from BETHESDA in relation to the DLC's to be released in the future, I will put forward my own thoughts on what I would like to see in the future updates and DLC.
Honestly, I would not mind having the ability to join a friend online for some questing and overall exploration as the NPC companions tend to get in the way and cause more problems than they are worth most of the time, but I'm not too fussy about it.
I would like to see some additions to the Smithing aspect in regards to creativity. If I have a bear/wolf/fox ect. (pelt), why not allow me to use it for cosmetic decoration of my armour? Or allow the finding of crests and such to add some personal touches, trademark, to my craft? There definitely does need to be more adverse appearances in the armours of Skyrim.
I would also like the ability to build a home/hold anywhere in the open world of Skyrim of my own design. I mean to provide design options where you can add rooms and structure appearance to your own imagination given what options are provided to you. Or even to build a home in the world and have NPC's recognize you for who/what you are and request to live near by which begins the process of establishing a new settlement. It's an idea, that is all.
I think an interesting DLC would be to involve what had taken place during the Great War and how Cyrodil has changed as a result. I would like to explore the Cyrodil of 200 years after the Oblivion Crisis and the Great War. I will have to give this some further consideration to at least explore the possibilities further.
These are brief ideas of some things that would add to my experience.
I love the idea of being able to build your home anywhere out there in Skyrim, leading to perhaps other traders or travellers passing through may want to pitch up and trade goods perhaps you could invest in whares and thus encourage them to make a small settlement.
And of course as it would be outside any city walls then prosperity of the area would be down to you.
Protecting it from bandits, predators and all the baddies in the world of Skyrim .
