Skyrim aromor. Daerdic 2700+ armor rating.

Honestly I feel the scaling on defenses and damage and enemies wasn't looked at all that closely. It seems to easily break down. Armor and magic defenses get too high, and become more and more rewarding the higher you get (before the cap, after which they don't reward at all). Offensive damage scales extremely inconsistently across damage types (magic vs. one-handed vs. bows vs. two-handed). Just seems like a mess to me.

You'd think things might get better with each addition. I'll say the handed-ness is a step forward though it stumbles at times with the implementation. The basic math of how things work isn't.

As for fortify jump, I don't see any reason stuff like that couldn't stay (though it might cause some difficulties with zoned cities). It isn't like big jumps breaks the game in any remotely unmanageable way, imho.

And I have played TES games before. I started way back in Daggerfall (so I've certainly noticed how they've gotten less buggy). I know the combat has always been lacking.

Does it heal the target?
Make some armor with negative armor rating and see that happens, if you are lucky it increase damage.
Psst...the "Value" was negative.
The "Damage" is on the left.

I don't use the alchemy enchanting loop cause its lame and most stuff is caped so no point really'

and 80% damage reduction is pretty good (u have to turn the game diffeculty to master to still have some fun)

avoid OPing ur weapon damage or the game will be LAME as hell

and call me crazy but I try to play the game in the 5 to 35 level marrgine since I found it to be VERY fun and u won't be OP but u will be really badass with what skill u have.

currently I'm playing my theif/assassin and the only skill I have that is 70 is sneaking,
one handed is still 35
alchemy is 54 (for poisons)
smithing is 40 (for dwemer weapons)
archery is 32
lock picking is 40
pickpocketing is 66
speech is 40
light armor is 32

now he is around level 28 and I don't plan on ROCKETING through levels (even though I can)

after the 11th playthrough (this one) I think its best to take it easy and just enjoy every level of weapons, armor, alchemy and skills

Yes I get great damage as it is without using any "loops".

With a "Blacksmith's Elixir" (+50% smithing) and 4 pieces of equipment enchanted with simithing (after drinking an Enchanter's Elixir) I can make my Daedric Greatsword do 280+ damage without any enchants, which is enough to kill a dragon in 3 hits.

I feel way OP as it is, I don't know why anyone would want to use loops to get even more OP.

the armor cap is below 600 armor....

i don't get why you guys overdo your characters so much...

I am with you. I don't get that either... how fun is it to have 500+ armor rating and 1000+ weapon damage. I say no fun! But we all play differently.

Another thing I want to say. If you have maxed your stats and have a bow with 3000+ damage it is still hard to kill a dragon on MASTER difficulty. So it is pritty challenging.

Actually, using a god-like armor / weapon that make you kill alduin with naked at Master , is back to the player it self

some people love playing skyrim with some challenge... i want something hard... i want someone to make my daedric armor useless... i want some dragon who can make my cry back to my house...

but

some people want to be a godlike character

i want to kill everyone in the game

i hate this city, i want to kill it!

i want to kill alduin with my eyes closed

as long it fun... its fine

Its just dumb, because they designed the game to stop armor protecting you after 560, but its fine to have weapons that do 100 thousand damage?! Just plan stupid.
You do realize that you don't have to get your rating that high.

Just use the following. I'm a Master at breaking games.

Get 4 Enchantment's with Fortify Alchemy *at least around *15%-25%*

Now make Fortify Restoration Potions *10-15 should be enough* Drink one. Unequip everthing. You should see your fortify Enchantments increase from *how much you have it* to lets say 75%. Now drink another potion. En-equip you enchanted items. 96%. Drink another potion, en-equip your items, 150% repeat, repeat, repeat until you reach your desired percent. I got up to -100,466,777,880. lol Then with that i made a Forfity Smithing potion just one. Used it at the grind-stone and in the armor, increased my weapons damage up to 100,000,000,000,000,000,000 Damage. My armor rating was around 2,122,234,100,445,666. Something like that.

Hope that helps.

I don't understand the cap at all. When i wear deadric armor(legendary) i'm at like 800+ and i take less damage then when it's not improved.

The common figure that has been tested and agreed on in the Skyrim community is 567. Up till that number each armour point will reduce the physical damage taken by a certain %, after that number it will make no difference to the damage taken.

I have personally not tested this but it's a pretty well known piece of information which has been supposedly confirmed.

By the way, the cap isn't 567. You get 0.12 damage resist for every 1 armor rating, the damage resistance cap is 80%, so 80/0.12 = 666.666.

You get +100 hidden armor rating if you have 4 pieces of armor on, so the number you need to reach with 4 pieces is 567, with 3 it would be 667.

900 in Orcish. I wouldn't over do this on weapons though. Just simply for the fact that it would make the game too easy.

What's the challenge of using a weapon that does 1000 damage a swing?

I've avoided any type enchanting / potion loop to this point. I already absolutely destroy any opponents now that I've stuck out a battle mage till 55. He's unstoppable. Anything more would take all challenge (and enjoyment) from the game.

I dont care how other people play but it's just not for me.

not quite. with 3 pieces, you would have 75 hidden (it's 25 per piece). so you would need 592. 592 + 75 = 667.

667 will get you 80% damage reduction. however, in the event that the enemy is using a mace and has the mace perk which ignores 75% armor rating, you will need 2668 armor rating (2568 displayed if wearing all 4).
