Imagine taking a model and then tweaking it 100s of times, and on top of that having it look natural. Making animations in the style of Minecraft is easy. Making animations in the style of something that's supposed to look realistic requires a lot of talent. :)

Thanks, Will get better once CK comes out then I can truly tweak each variant has needed and add them much faster..

5k on Super Computer too much for me, barely make a living has it is..

me I only upgrade every few years..And last computer I built lasted 4 years, then died, needed new Tower asap..So I just bought a $500 HP with W7x64, AMD Quad Core 3.0ghz, 4 gig , Plopped old ATI 3650 512vram and Bought New Power Supply then It was Skyrim Ready...Shadows are the fps killer for me, so turned off, Everything Else 1280x720 Maxed out..No AA, just AFx16..

Well finding the right creature that the guar fits on is the problem and rigging to the skeleton..that is always the problem..when it comes to new creatures that are not created from scracth with new skeletons..And I am not a expert when it comes to these things.

Modelers who know how to animate are a dime a dozen once again around here..They are highly sought after for their talent and most them keep it hush hush else get mobbed by community..seen it happen before a long time ago..or get nabbed by game companies..

I have thought about replacing each unique dog in game with it own variant at least..So they all do not look the same at least..But without meshes that look different it would just be color variants is all..I really need to learn blender or 3dmax..but do not have the paitence for it..

Bellyache has a Wolves to Dogs conversion but it has some animation's bugs..

So its not as easy as retexturing huh? Another bummer. Maybe someone skilled with meshes could create some breeds as resources. Heck I could take a shot at learning anything to contribute, just need to be pointed in the right direction because I dont know where to start as far as tutorials and programs needed.

On a side note, you should keep an eye on this guys mod http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1280813-wipz-sounds-of-skyrim/page__fromsearch__1.

He is doing a sound mod and you can maybe get some sounds from him or work from some of his creature sound effects.

Why Wait try it out now has it still needs alot of fine tuning and feedback on Creature Encounters..

That one mod, Skyrim Creatures Alive sounds rather good, though.

About to get ever better with some Frost Giants and BellyAche's Textures for New Variants Lion's, Snow Leopards, for version .25..

And if I can get Wild Horses to flee those has well..Coded in just will not flee thinking it is gmst setting..

All of BellyAche Skeever are coded in, was on a roll last night..

If you load this after Wars in skyrim then yes,

And if you Use Wrye Smash and build a bashed patch that will make them play more nicely..

But try SCA by itself First without Wars in Skyrim..

I still need to code in Arctic Cat Family and Female Sabre Cat and Striped Version's..So that is another 9 or So Variants to add to the above..

.25 is coming along has you see..Hopefully before CK is out,

then once CK is out, then I can tweak Stats, Levels, Aipackages, Combat, etc for all of them for Version .30..

Not anything soon for sure, since I was building things with community tools, the ck is not liking some of my records has I am getting formid error on my arma/armo skins for creatures etc..

I will have to rebuild things the right way..

Actually the damage is not has bad has I thought, the CK was able to fix the formid headers issue and I only have to repair about 3 or 4 records is all..


All of my Creatures are intact.
All of my armor addon / armor records for skins
Only had to fix the New Frost Giant armor addon records..
All My 90+ leveledlist are still intact and in correct formid order still..phew has that is important for my "unleveled - everything spawn at lvl 1" .

At this point it will be vanilla variants, I have not started ripping and tearning them apart yet and try to make new creatures that way. Or looking for new models etc..Those will come in time..

luckily the sabrecat have a mane that could be removed so the lions looks like this..

Male LIon on Left with Mane and Lioness on Right with no mane - all female big cats do not have mane..

Well expect more of the same "Unleveled encounter anything at lvl 1" that will remain the same..I like how that turned out myself..

Frost Giant it is hard to tell from the pics above, but, it has a new frost looking texture, and outfits have been decorated a little more. Has far has their behavior, I added resistance to frost on them, and scaled them to be slighty smaller than Normal Giants. They are little bit more aggressive, but, are much slower than Normal Giants. Since the do not have any camps, they just wander around currently. I do have a Frost Mammoth but have not added it yet..

Hoping for a release today sometime..

so the are the frost giants and reg giants friends or enemies? only asking because "pull the scary thing into the giant camp" is a mainstay of my thief =)

Let talk about it Frost Giants versus Normal Giants..

I have no problem in making Frost Giant enimies of Normal Giant. I look at this way it is Region Based, Normal Giants are usually not found in Snow Areas, While Frost Giant are..And vice versa. They respect each other but will not cross over into each other region's if so it is war. Which I can add a chance to happen in certain areas from certain list.

That is something else that I need to adjust has well Faction Relationship and "Allies, Friends, etc" settings. to get that creature versus creature action happening..

I have already set all my Trolls in version .25ck not to be friend or help anything..They are gong to attack everything pretty much...
