Same happened with Fallout NV, after a month with no fixes for the bugs it had, it also dropped to half price. Its still insulting to charge half price for a broken game, they should just return them to their distributor rather than muddy their own names peddling this broken nonsense.

It works fine for the 360.

The OP is known for many things on the Official XBox Forums.

Playing the game is not one of them.

Well, games drop prices over time. All of them.
No surprise there, but I guess that should attract those that weren't willing to pay the full asking price.

Steam says I've played 192 hours ... tried out different characters, main character is now level 33, harbinger of companions, head of thieves guild, thane in a couple of towns.

Almost the whole time I felt well entertained ... 150 hours of good entertainment ... so don't ask whether I regret not waiting to buy at half price ... No, at 50 Euros the game is still great value for what it is offering - and with mods coming, I'll probably get hundreds of hours of entertainment (Steam version of Oblivion which I only bought last Christmas: 380 hours played).

Seems to be a one day offer from gamestation only.....game and amazon are still £39.99, which is more expensive than when I bought the game.

Jesus Christ, okay so these UK retailers are selling it half off, at 22.49 in British Pounds, well that is almost about what I paid for it given the exchange rate in CDN funds so its not so bad. Also, I could care less, come Christmas time I'm sure Steam will have a day sale on Skyrim that would for any other game be heartbreaking. I've played 110+ hours and have no sign of being bored yet, so my $59.99 is well spent.

I wouldn't read anything into the price drop, it is the holiday shopping season and they need to compete with other games which slash prices at the holidays.

Name more than one?

This is a special offer from one company. Or aren't they allowed to have special offers any more?

One day sale loss leader item to get people in the doors. Name a retailer that doesn't do this. OP is a tool.

So if under 2 months from now most bugs are fixed, what will people do? Will they complain that it used to be broken?

Of course, the high horse no matter how dead it is, will still be prodded.

If only people weren't so indulged and greedy, we might not have the problems that the game has in the first place, but whatever, everyone seems to think that they are entitled to luxury items, even if many thousands of man hours went in to create it, they simply don't give a damn and fail to acknowledge simple facts of modern life.

Never trust the PR machine. Otherwise its only going to hurt that much harder.

It's also what happens with every game, it's also December, the time retailers make over 70% of their yearly turnover, sales are commonplace

Yeah your right it is bug ridden, 70 hours in and one crash on the PS3 geez what were Bethesda thinking? !!! OMGZZZZ!!! :banghead: Its the holiday season, I saw Mass Effect 2 for sale for 25 dollars the other day, and that game is pretty awesome. I love the way some people think because THEY are having problems then the game is broken and EVERYONE else must be too! Its FACT right? Ummm no your bad actually, build a bridge!

This is very unnerving if youve got a problem stop trying to justify it.

Christmas sales and new years sales.
Most retailers offer deals around these times. You could have waited and hoped the games you wanted would be in those deals but they might not have been. As far as I am aware the RRP is still unchanged. In my local stores it is no cheaper than when I purchased it.

I got the game for £28 on pre-order, so that isn't much of a drop for me...
