In the video on the Xbox marketplace it showed "trophies" of killed enemies (hagravens, etc). Any idea if this particular "known" is explained as far as how you actually get these trophies into your house? The guy in the vid had a huge room full of various enemies. It's not like you could drag a body over long distances (well, I guess you could, but I also have a job and a life).

More than likely the "Trophy" is something you loot from the body after it is dead. That is what you would carry home.

I really hope to get a Dwemer Centurion trophy in my house. It might be kind of big, but that would be awesome.

Maybe you tell your steward, 'I killed a giant on the other side of Skyrim. Be a dear and bring it here so I can stuff and mount it.'

That actually makes sense. Ingredients would be perfect. Deposit hagraven feathers into a display area, and presto...a hagraven.

I hate to admit it, but I think I enjoy mixing a little "Sims" with my Skyrim. As much as I like exploring dungeons, this element can be pretty immersive.

I am curious as to the extent on how big you van make your houses. Also will they look different and unique compared to the current structures currently within the game.

I posted about some things I saw from the trailer elsewhere: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1406947-hearthfire-discussion-thread-6/page__st__60__p__21456442#entry21456442

I'll post it here as well for ease of use:

Been looking at the trailer, noticed a few things:

1. The carriage locations include villages such as Dragonbridge, Darkwater Crossing, Ivarstead, Karthwasten, Kynesgrove, etc., places that aren't currently served by carriage.
2. You get a beehive to harvest. Hive looks like the ones at Goldenglow Estate.

There's probably many more details I haven't caught, but it's hard to do a frame-by-frame anolysis on Youtube.

From the trailer:

Bedrooms
The Bedroom addition is perfect if you have a family that needs more comfortable living quarters than the Main hall affords. The Bedroom has space for a master bedroom plus two children's beds, as well as all the dressers, wardrobes, ect. that anyone could desire. This addition also includes a spacious exterior porch.

Greenhouse
Perhaps you are a gardener at heart? If so, the Greenhouse provides room for planters where you can grow almost whatever you wish, sheltered from Skyrim's harsh climate. Tend and harvest your crops from the comfort of your own home!

Enchanter's Tower
If your interests lie in the magical realm, this addition is for you. Conduct your research in privacy and comfort. Plenty of space for keeping your artifacts organized. And the view from the tower is guaranteed to take your breath away.

Without positive proof, that remains speculation until HF is released, and speculation is counter-productive at this point. We'll just have to wait and see. :)

As I stated, this is information from the trailer, nothing more or nothing less.

As of right at this very moment it would be best to assume that this DLC will not add in any new children to the game. It would be best to assume they are not in to avoid disappointments with it. I for one wish there was mer children and Khajiit and Argonian children as well.

I wish for the same thing as you, but at this point, I'm sticking to the facts we've seen revealed in the trailer rather than face disappointment when it comes out Tuesday. We've only seen Nord children in the game so far, after all.

Very true and that is why I am assuming they have added no new children to the game. It would be a small thing if they added the other races but it would be an interesting small thing.

From the trailer, I think I've narrowed down two plots of land for housing so far:

Falkreath Hold Plot:
- By view of the mountain that holds Bleak Falls Barrow in the distance and a similar mountain range to it's left as visible at 0:22 in the trailer. By my guess, it's on the bank of Lake Ilinalta, directly east of Half-moon Mill...on the other side of the land adjutment which seems to separate the Mill from your plot. This would make sense since each house might give us a fishery option.

Pale or Hjaalmarch Hold:
- I can't figure this one out, but it seems to be the plot where we see most of our exterior shots of the house and with the orphans outside the end. At the 1:30 make on the trailer, you see the Dragonborn on the house tower looking out at the marshes with Solitude in the distance. Lining up the mountain range, the towers in solitude with the amount of the natural arch showing underneath, it looks like this plot is just a stone throw away from High Gate Ruins. The plot seems to be JUST s/w of the ruins by the position of solitude in the distance.

Now High Gate ruins is technically in the Pale, but the trailer mentioned the salt marshes of Hjaalmarch. I'm not sure where the border is between these two holds, but I was hoping the Pale Hold plot to be very snowy. The only water source in the Pale seems to be the Sea of Ghosts. Perhaps we didn't see the pale hold house in the trailer.

*edit*
It looks line the house across from Solitude is the Hjaalmarch house...I've looked at the map again on the wiki and the plot looks to be just south of the hold border. Hopefully this means well get a house on an island in the sea of ghosts, or at least on the shore ;)

Since Lucia is a newcomer, it's safe to assume that there will be other new kids to adopt.
Since Gralnach is an established character, it's reasonable to assume the adoptability of other kids. Aventus, for instance, or the Honorhall crew.
Unfortunately, I think that if kids of other races (elf, beast) were available, they would have shown them. Not certain, but seems unlikely. Too bad, I have a Khajiit and a Dunmer, and I'd have welcomed kids of those races.

They seem to he overdoing everything Nordic with Skyrim I would not be surprised if they did not add any other race. I did not know that one kid is new so there might be hope for some other races but I seriously doubt it.
