Skyrim Kinect!

Groupofone, get yourself a Turtle Beach X41 headset. Trust me, it's the best quality at a decent price.

I have one of these, and it is good, albeit not the most comfortable.... I could not find the reference to why you told Groupofone to get one.... will the mic work with a kinect setup? that would be great.... then I could do what I want without all the folderol!

There is no unarmed command on the list so that's why it can't be done using Kinect. It is still an option to open the favorites list or your equipment list and manually unequip an item just like before.

Thanks for the reply..seems to be a stupidly big oversight.

Aside from the Kinect integration, are there any other updates/upgrades in this TU?

The update is solely focused on Kinect.

I did seem to notice just a couple updates, however, like the ally trade update and less stutter when walking through Skyrim, after the 1.5 patch it was a lot worse but now it seems a lot better.

I played around with this a bit and have found a couple of work arounds of sorts. One is if you don't have a shield assigned and then say one of the double equip commands it will unequip the left hand where the shield would go. So don't have a shield assigned and then say "Equip Sword and Shield" and your left hand will go empty. Of course you should have the sword you want to use in this situation set as Sword on your favorites list. You can empty both hands by saying "Equip Dual Weapons" as long as you don't have anything assigned to Dual Wield Left or Dual Wield Right. You can also assign your sword to Dual Wield Right and nothing to Dual Wield Left and when you say "Equip Dual Weapons" it will only put a weapon in the right hand and the left hand will go empty. I hope that helps with your situation.

Found out from the Beth rep that the Equip commands work as toggles. It doesn't work if you used a "Equip Dual" command but if you equipped the weapons individually just say the command again to be unarmed. So saying "Equip Left Sword" will equip the sword in your left hand and saying "Equip Left Sword" a second time will remove it. I tested it and it worked fine.

Does the kinect work with the headset mic?

Just messing around and found I could program equip commands to switch out gear. For example I used the "Equip Calm Spell" command to switch to one necklace and then the "Equip Frenzy Spell" to switch to another necklace. I guess this will work with any gear making outfit changes possible without going into the menus. None of my characters will use all of the commands so there will be some left over to do things like this. Pretty cool for when I want to equip gear for selling stuff or smithing or whatever.

Yeah I said this in the other thread but I absolutely love that I can just say "Equip light!" and get healed. It's quick and simple.

Anyone know if you can "unequip" your left hand? e.g want to use one handed weapon to parry but cant get rid of the spell/item in left hand. Can this be done using kinnect if not whu not?

I'm not positive, but I think if you tell it to equip something you haven't hotkeyed, it will unequip what you currently have. Example, you never assigned anything to "mace", so you say "equip left mace" and it should make your left hand empty.

Don't quote me on that but try it.

Another great thing is that you are not restricted on what types of things you map. You don't have to map a mace to "assign mace". You don't have to assign a healing potion to "assign healing potion". If you think saying "equip light" is easier to say in the heat of battle for a heal potion than "equip heal potion", assign it to that instead.

I had a revelation, saying the words in a very redneckish hillbilly American accent really helps mine recognize!
