Skyrim On Sale In Australia

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 2:44 pm

If this is true, it's fricking ridiculous...

Why bother with a street date if no one is going to abide by it.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, Bethesda needs to just go ahead and tell ALL retailers to start shipping.

Or to just sue them and get a lot of money of them, if that is possible that is.
I prefer my way.

Who shops at Eb Games anyways? Garh.

Your GamesMarket order has been fully shipped by Australia Post Express Post.

Blood pressure dropping, anxiety falling..... *sigh*

Well I still may not get it until Monday but at least I know it's on the way.

Sometimes being a country of convicts has it advantages.

Like not having an R18 rating and having all our games censored and banned so that we the immature and moronic public arent exposed to all the naughty content?

My local HN just called me and said that the street date has 'broken' and that they are selling copies now. Still not going to get it until I finish my exam tomorrow though sadly.

Steam is "Pre-Loading" Skyrim on my PC now. It's very slow. About 15% has been pre-loaded, whatever that means. I understand Steam will activate my install at about 10pm, about 4 hours away.

We got an R18+ rating, it'll be implemented by 2012 and this includes re-classifying past banned/censored games like L4D2 and Mortal Kombat.

Now to wait the 7 hours until Steam unlock the game, guess that gives me some time to say my last goodbyes to my friends and family before I enter the depths of Skyrim

I pre-ordered from Big W. Does it come out there too?

Me too. And Big W aren't being pricks, they've kept the embargo.

Bloody hell EB Games is awesome/makes me mad.

It was Target and K-mart that broke the Strret Date in Qld and Vic not EB and they did it on the 9/th... Australian law says that if Street Date is broken then all stores that stock an Item are required to start selling them... Its part of ourt anti-monopoly laws here... heck technically Steam should unlock the game now because they are also a store and fall under this law.

Game and JB Hi-Fi are also selling. I got my PC version from Game for the pre-order and the xbox version I'm giving as a gift I got from JB because of the price.

I'm very disappointed, not with Bethesda or EB, but with Steam. They could have at least allowed us to install the game, then wait for it to unlock at the predesignated time, just like with Battlefield 3. As it pans out, it would have been better if the street date had not been broken. This has just made the wait all the worse.
