That does sounds nice, actually, a bit like the old SCSI.

"Skuzzy" is what the script extender is not, and it's also used for an interface.

It looks like it should be pronounced "sixy". But maybe that's just me. ;)

Glad to have you guys back for another round on another TES game :3

I'm willing to bet first port of call will be input detection to create UI workarounds xD

The good news is that Skyrim uses the same protection system as Oblivion. i.e. the loader uses Steam DRM but the main executable doesn't.

Thank you, Script Extender team!

Your work has enabled others to make some of the greatest mods across all of the Besthesda titles. Whatever SKSE becomes, it will be more than welcomed.

C'mon, who has? :P
SmkViper has. He knows exactly what we are in for. Probably laughing right now.

Seriously though, things may be quite a bit different this time around. Since we started with OBSE the BGS guys have been upping their game big time, adding lots of functionality we've introduced. Each new game has done more and more for the modding community. Who knows exactly what wonders they've already provided (or how different things may be)?

Wow, you guys are fast. Awesome! Looking forward to it!

Good news. skse... should we pronounce it "sixy"? :D
I'm totally taking credit for this one!
... it'll take a bit for any potential SkySE to get off the ground and to a point where a port will be possible.
SkySE actually sounds like a good name.
I was thinking about this, and SKSE may be a better name — because it arguably reads as "sixy".

While it's great that you're going to be working on this, I'm going to be more interested in finding out what the new Creation Kit's supposedly brand-new scripting language can do. I'm hopeful they made some big improvements. I think they may have made some really big, nice improvements in connecting actors (and other items) to animation nodes; I think that's how they handle weapon racks and possibly sitting in a moving cart and such. If so, that's awesome.

Anyways. Gotta see what the actual scripting language is like before jumping on a script extender.
