well you would have to convert the enemies from skyrim stats to D&D. along with the khajiit and argonians. other than that it would be quite simple. i suppose you would have to convert pretty much everything from skyrim to D&D. but after that it would just be story line.

Dungeons and Dragons system. I can safely say that it's the father of RPG. Games like Baldur's Gate, Icewind dale, Neverwinter Nights are based on that system and lore.

How is it that almost nobody in this thread knows what "D&D" or "DnD" stands for?

Because we are the great old ones, who remember such ancient things like Dial-up modem and the weekly sacrifice to it to connect to the internet.

The Elder Scrolls actually started out as a fanmade D&D world. Some guys at Bethesda played some D&D together in their spare time, created the world and then made a game about it. The first TES game borrowed a fair amount of rules and stuff from it, but with the second game they rewamped the whole thing and went with a skill based system and changed the armor system and so on.

I would hope that skyrim would get to the point where to do a manual D&D version would be pointless

it would pretty much just be for fun, to convert everything from skyrim to D&D. to be able to play skyrim in a different aspect than the normal console skyrim.

The closest thing to D&D that I've done on Skyrim was "roll" a blackguard type character. Anyone old enough to get the "roll" reference?

I know what D&D is. I was around long before that. The question is...How would one apply that to Skyrim?

I sure do miss all night D&D sessions.

Also, I will wake up at midnight, connect to the BBS, and do my game turn before you and take all your cities.

One cannot . . . especially without a (often overbearing) dungeon master--among other things.

I hope this franchise gets to the point where there would be noreason to go back to pen&paper play.

I mean just think of the possibilities if you incorperated voice recognition tech into the game.

Heck, my android recognises my voice now with no problem

i would rather play D&D than skyrim. its so much more immersive, and a lot more to the game in every aspect, which makes it much better.

Lol this thread flashed me back to my younger years :D

It's an interesting idea but I have my doubts that today's generation possess the patients to actually sit down to a good game of D&D, video games pretty much made the good old games null and void

My point exactly. I guess my question was more rhetorical.

it would be a rare thing to find that patience in this generation, i agree. but out of the people who rather play D&D than video games, me being one of them, i dont think they would find it too difficult.

it wouldnt be hard to do. you could easily convert most of skyrim into D&D. you would need to convert stats for every character and monster. the environment wouldnt need any conversion. the story a little bit. you would need to convert weapons and armor. i dont personally believe it would be that difficult. it would just take time
