Wait till you get into it, you'll love it!...

I hope so.

I take breaks every once and there (like right now, until patch 1.8 and Hearthfire are released...probably next week or the other), but with Skyrim it'll be probably the same than with Oblivion (which I definitely left on June 2011...yes, exactly 5 months before Skyrim was released).

If you think it's difficult to leave it on console, with PC it's just impossible...there's just too much to do, just too much to try. As soon as you think you're done with it, a new cool questmod appears, or some nice items you want to see how it fits your character, or a new way to roleplay or to gameplay...or you just start playing with the CK and slowly become addicted to it. Or you take some ENB config and pose mods, and take amazing pics of your character, landscape or whatever...possibilities are just endless.

That's why I just love the PC version of this game :smile:

This is why I need to build a gaming PC.

My cousin said its amazing on PC although i had to ask around because he's basically anti-console haha whereas my other friends can see both sides of the arguement if you get me.

I have shelved Skyrim for the time being (PS3) after over 600 hours. Currently playing Oblivion for the first time ever...still not sure how I feel about it. Seems a little "slow" compared to Skyrim. :confused:

shoulda played it first lol,Oblivion was my first,and everyone told me 2 go play MW and i had trouble going back,granted i was playing an old xbox game on a 360 not on a pc

Personally i feel Skyrim is an un-quitable (i'm aware this isn't a word) game.

My first character lasted about 100 hours, my second character lasted 120 hours.
20 hours into my 2nd character I started getting annoyed at things.
50 hours in I started noticing the cracks in the game more clearly.
70 hours in I started becoming bored with the repetitive gameplay.
At which point I started to try out different stuff to try to make the game fun.
I spent roughly 30 hours trying to make the game fun, eventually I just said "Screw it".
The last 20 hours I spent getting through the main quest, the entire thing was a drag.

After my second character I am now completely bored with the game and have moved on to other things.
Unless there is an extremely gamechanging overhaul mod released later then I won't be returning.
So Skyrim most definitely is a game one can quit.
I'm just amazed that Skyrim put me under an illusion for so long.

I find this the same with me, and I've only played on Console.
TES series was just my pit stop in gaming, and found really no interest in any other games since.
but it is quite possible for people to quit after playing for more than a week, most of them just aren't on the Forums

too many people are still on their Cycle of good games to play for awhile then just move on, Borderlands 2 is that game right now, none of those people are really planning to play Skyrim anymore unless a new DLC comes or something.

I was on that cycle once, but you could say

the Elder Scrolls series is the stop of that cycle for me, so I haven't and probably won't get into another game unless it's TES VI and beyond :smile:

lol i already quit skyrim and went back to oblivion and morrowind. bethesda gonna have to pull of a miracle to get me to play skyrim again.

you say you will 'quit' Skyrim when TES IV comes out but its not really you quitting, its just you moving on to the new Elder Scrolls. :tongue:

Moving backward instead of forward counts too! My first TES exposure was through Skyrim, and after awhile I got more interested in the big TES picture. Went to the Gamestop, asked the regular store guy about Morrowind for PC. He gave me advice (no hardcopy sales), then as I'm walking out I hear him telling his visiting manager, "We're seeing a lot of that these days."

Nice choice

Although I left Oblivion, I still haven't left Morrowind (after all, it's the beginning point of my nordic clan's saga).

Plus, being also modded as hell, it's endless fun

(Necessities of Morrowind adds a whole new layer of roleplay...my character has even food tastes).
