Slaver tatoo

Post » Mon Mar 14, 2011 10:29 pm

Slavers can have different marks. So what if Metzger had a slaver mark. Ceaser's Legion is vast and from Arizona. They put people like Metzger to shame. The Legion has hundreds of Legions. They are a new super power. They tried to take over the Hoover Dam. I am sure by now the people of the Vegas wasteland will know their mark and fear it.

Also Metzger is dead has been for 38 years by the time of New Vegas. NCR has moved in an most likely destroyed all the slaver guilds.
The Slaver's aren't all one organisation... why would Caesar's Legion take on the practice of getting facial tattoos? There's little to nothing that would support this theory, especially since they're trying to emulate the Roman Empire. If they're tatooing anybody, it'll most likely be their slaves.

So they can show that they are apart of their Legion. They don't have paper work and I doubt they have computer records of who's in and who's out with the legion. If they are tattooing their slaves it makes sence to come up with a mark to show "I am a member of the Legion :mohawk:" Remember they aren't just a couple of dozen guys running a slaves guild. They are thousands maybe tens of thousands strong. They are going to need away to keep track of their members. Also who said it was on their face that the tattoo would go?

Reputation system. Alot of people complained in FO3 that "they still know it's me with PA on" so hopefully the Devs figured out away to keep people form seeing you're mark with PA on. Still this could be fixed with "before we do business I need to see you're arm."

I'm not debating them getting a simple mark, something on their hand would do just fine. But, them practically getting a Swastika drawn on their face seems a bit sketchy and unnecessary.

I agree getting a mark on the face would be to much. How would they be able to spy on people with a big tattoo on their face? lol. Every video I have seen so far shows no tattoos on their face. Chances are it will be on the hand/arms or Legs.

I am hoping it would be a brand from a branding iron, I posted that I want that :D. Much better then a tattoo and healthier as well. In a desert wasteland I would not trust tattooing tools to be sterile. Would not want everyone in you're Legion to come down with Hypnosis or other disease.

In this screenshot it looks like the guy up front has a tattoo on his forearm and you can almost see one on the guy in the middle. Maybe it's just a strap. :tops:

With a tattoo like that I couldn't see every person in the Wastes asking you to roll up your sleeves before they'll talk to you, so in my eyes I don't think it should change much. Of course, I do hope it changes some dialogue for the sake of replayability, but not to the point where half the Wasteland hates you because of it.

You think that looks like a tatoo? It's obviously some bunch of straps.

snip

Does look like a tattoo but of what I can't tell. I zoomed in on it and I can't see anything where it's above the skin but still could be a strap.

well there is still the chance of infection from a branding but, it would be a lot safer choice then needle based tatooing, they could do the baboo pick and hammer method of tatooing, but that really would not be very romanish (i don't think its a real word.), plus its not a widely used method anymore, more of an asian method. i think its also more time consuming and painfull

If it was a strap it'd stick out a lot more, if you look closely you can even notice the arm hair. Just examine the texturing on it.

actualy if you notice on the line on the right side of this "mark" there is an indent in it like a c or a u, not a letter of course but just this dip in it.
this doesn't mean thou that its actually the Caesar's legion mark, this could be his own personal tatoo. it could be one of a number of random tattos that can be put on an npc.

Im relly hoping they just dont flat out mark us as a slaver because that would make the buisness so much harder
slaver-"come with me I have candy"
Guy-"why do you have that slavor tatto on your arm"
slaver"ummmm its a beuaty mark"
By the way im not siding with the legion beacuse i agree with slavery, but beacuse i think i a firm goverment thats not afraid to take the more morally wrong path if it leads to the majority prospering, running the country would be the only way to recover from this form of world disaster.

The Roman Empire did tattoo their legionaries, though not in their face but on their shoulder. It's what legion the belonged to, kinda like in nowadays people get tattoos (though voluntarily) and people say to them "I see that you were in the Navy..."
